Error occurred while creating database using Open Office

Hi,

I have recently installed the Open Office and tried to create a new database. When I attempt to open the database then, the following error message appears “JRE is Defective”. I extremely need your help to resolve this issue.

LibreOffice requires a java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools- Options-LibreOffice – Java.

Hi Samuel,

I looked up your problem and found that a lot of users have that problem. In order to solve it most users installed the 1.6 version of the Java Runtime Environment if you have the 1.7. But the 1.7 version is also working, it's just that it has some bugs which need to be fixed so you may try to update it, and if it still will not work than install the 1.7 version.
