Hi experts
When we tried to run Workbench, we get the following error:
"Error copying Registry entries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
And in Workbench we tried to setup the ODBC configuration. But when we stopped up and left it didn’t save.
Is something stopping Workbench from saving changes?
Please give me a solution.
Thanks a lot.
Error copying Registry entries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
The process in resolving registry key issues is quite long but definitely workable. It is possible that you are getting an error with registry entries because there are files missing from the said folder. Once a single file is missed it’ll automatically affect the entire folder for the registry key. A solution is available through Microsoft’s website but to make it easier for you I have included a link that may help you resolve the error message you are getting pertaining to registry folder. Please click on the link below for a step-by-step procedure for the resolution of your issue: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/818954/-error-1919–error-configuring-odbc-data-source-error-messages-when-yo.
Error copying Registry entries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Hello Alison,
Here is a workaround that will help you solve that problem.
-
First you will have to open regedit by going to start on your computer and then choose run followed by regedit.
-
After that access the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWARE directory for the workbench.
-
You will need to create a new key and give it a different name.
-
Then go to the right side of new key entry and then right click to create new string value.
-
Name the string value using a different name too.
-
You will need to edit the string value so that it can point to wherever you installed it on your drive.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
