I got an error while setting-up the remote debugger

Hi,

I got an error while setting-up the remote debugger I wanted to use on my Windows Server 2008 (non-R2),

And using my Visual Studio 2012.

I posted an image of it below.

Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor

The Windows Web Services installer failed to execute. The installer exited with error "Data of this type is not supported."

If anyone here was able to install the remote debugger 2012 on a non-R2 Windows 2008 server,

Hi King,

I hope you are doing well.

I have also come across this issue once and I searched it out and found that I haven’t completely installed Remote tools for Visual studio.

Please download and install these for your visual studio and clean temp folder from your C drive and then install these tools.
