What does the wordpress visitor maps do? Can we benefit something from this? Is there any way I where It can be disabled?

Can WordPress visitor maps be disabled?

 

The wordpress visitor maps plugin shows you who and how many are online. You will be able to see the visitors’ IP address, time, city, state, country, the page they are currently on and many more. Can WordPress visitor maps be disabled?

Hello Brayan

Yes of course, you can disable the plugin if you really don't want that.

Just follow the below steps to disable the plugin.

1. Open your file manager where the wordpress folder has been placed by you.

2. Navigate to the following directory "/wp-content/plugins"

3. Delete the "visitor-maps" folder.

(This will disable the plugin )

4. Now Log out of the wordpress log in again.

Your plugin is now disabled.

Note: Please make a backup of all the files and folder you delete as once deleted, it will not be recovered from the internet.
