There are various ways to allow internet access to only a few sites. You can use paid software for the purpose such as OpenDNS. You can also do it with your router software settings where you can set parental controls or block certain websites. A simple way to do it on your web browser is the following. If you want to restrict access for the purpose of saving data, then this will be the simplest method. Launch Internet Explorer.

Go to Tool-> Internet Options-> Connections-> LAN Settings. Under Proxy Server section, click on Advanced. Under HTTP, enter 127.0.0.1 for proxy server. Enter the websites for which you want to restrict access in "Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with…", box.

Internet access will be limited to only the websites which have been entered by you.
