Hi Jenna,
Make sure your MYSQL is properly installed and also your MYSQL server. That way you can connect your site to its database. I also recommend you to use wamp server. You can use it easily. It has a PHP my admin that you can use for your database.

Thanks Mr. Pheetong.  Maybe I'm having a problem with my sqlyog installer. I will try to use the wampserver and will tell you if this will solve my problem.

It's a good thing you use wampserver, to view your website. You need to put your website folder to local disk C:/wampserver and paste it to www folder. Now open your web browser. You should view your files here, if the wamp server is properly installed.
