Hi to all the readers and experts out there. My computer is running on Windows 7. I just switched from Windows XP to Windows 7 just recently. I am not sure if this has something to do with my Lenovo laptop being not able to read my Universal Serial Bus or also known as USB. I searched for driver updates to it but it won’t help it to resolve the issue.
I am receiving an error code 43 stating that Windows has stopped the device because it has reported problems. When the updating of drivers did not fix the issue, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, restarted my computer, but to no luck. I know there are experts out there that can recommend a procedure that I have not done yet.
So, please comment.
USB error code 43. Windows 7
Hello Sarah,
Error 43 means that the operating system stopped due to reported problems. One solution is to uninstall and reinstall USB controllers on your computer.
In case these steps will not work for you I suggest to please reload your operating system. But be sure that you have backed up your files to avoid missing any files. Please do a Powercycle on your computer. Powercycle is just like a rebooting your computer.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Please turn off your computer
2. Please turn off your router (if any)
3. Please turn off your modem.
4. After 60m seconds, please turn in the modem then the router (if any) , then your computer
Please make sure that you turn off the equipment on the right sequence.
USB error code 43. Windows 7
Hello Sarah Brands,Â
Damaged drivers might result in the Os to be able to report troubles, which will in exchange can lead to unidentified device code 43 troubles. Device drivers may be afflicted with repeated system errors or through basic program errors plus they may also be afflicted by computer malware, which might corrupt or remove the drivers of your particular hardware device.Â
Try formatting your USB or Scan your PC.
If this don't work, try to buy USB PCI card.Â
Hope this helped you!
