Hey marissa!
The problem you are facing now is occurs when there is some software installed in the computer, that is not compatible with the Version of your windows XP. I had also faced this problem when i was installing windows XP.
Anyways here is a solution for you that worked for me. Follow these steps.
1. First you need to disable the "GoBack" when your system restarts windows xp.
2. When Windows restarts press Space bar, you will see the GoBack boot menu.
3. Now you have to press "D" Button that will disable the GoBack.
4. After that press "Y" which will confirm your command and then press enter for two times.
5. Now restart your computer and choose "Cancel windows XP Setup" option.
6. Run your previous version of Xp.
7. Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs and uninstall the GoBack V3.
8. Now restart and re install XP
Thanks

That error message appears to be from an installation. If you are installing an application and you receive that message, first, check if the program is compatible with your computer. Before installing any application or game, make sure your computer meets the requirements. Also, check for prerequisites because this is common to programs.
When a program has prerequisites, you should install the prerequisites first prior to installing the actual program. If you don’t install the prerequisites first, you will end up failing the installation. Common prerequisites are Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package, and JRE or Java Runtime Environment. Also, check that you are installing the program on the right platform architecture.
If your operating system is 32-bit, you are restricted to installing applications that are also 32-bit. If your operating system is 64-bit, you can install both 32-bit and 64-bit applications. But if an application has a 64-bit version, install the 64-bit and not the 32-bit to avoid problems. You should also check that you are using an operating system that has a supported Service Pack and edition.
