Last night I was playing Grand Chase (online games), my computer runs in a good condition. Then in the morning when I opened my PC, I encountered a blue screen. I tried to restart it again as a blue screen says (If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer).
When I restart my computer, the blue screen doesn't show but unfortunately my computer automatically restart after 1 hour and the blue screen appears again. I don't have any idea how to stop or fix that blue screen. Somebody please help me about this?
Most causes of this error include an incompatible device driver, a general hardware problem, or incompatible software. Blue screen error is one of the most unusual errors found on Windows operating systems. I have here solutions, you can do any of the following.
1. Viruses are usually main reason in appearing blue screen. Have you tried to scan your computer using your anti-virus? If not, follow these steps:
Step 1: In your anti-virus -> click Tools tab -> select update. Updating anti-virus is very important do it regularly and when updating done,
Step 2: Select Tools tab -> select scan computer and wait for a minute. When scanning is done,
Step 3: Look for the Scan results and check the virus detected. You can see the files that affected in the object. All you have to do is to remove that infected file.
2. Fist is to clean your memory RAM. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Turn off your computer then open your CPU.
Step 2: Remove your memory RAM to clean it using the eraser.
Step 3: Rub the golden surface only and when you're done with that get a soft cloth to clean the particles of eraser.
Step 4: Then insert it now to your computer, and after a minute you may now open your computer.
3. Then check your Windows Update. Maybe some of your drives need to update. Follow the steps:
Step 1: Restart your computer, then keep pressing (F8) key to boot your computer.
Step 2: At the Windows Advanced Option -> select Safe Mode and hit ENTER.
Step 3: Select the Operating System -> hit Enter then when you're already in Safe Mode, On the Desktop dialog box will open select YES button.
Step 4: Press the Windows key -> select All Programs -> then click Windows Update and select check for updates.
Step 5: Click View available updates then click Install, after installing the updates restart your computer.
4. Here are the other methods for fixing blue screen errors and other hard drive issues, Follow the steps:
Step 1: Restart your computer and follow Steps 1-3 in Solution 3.
Step 2: Press Windows key -> then select Run and type chkdsk/f then hit Enter.
Step 3: A black box will appear saying Chkdsk can't run because the volume is in use by another process. Do you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N).
Step 4: Type in "Y", then hit Enter.
Step 5: After completing the steps 1-4, you need to reboot your PC for the chkdsk /f to initiate.
Step 6: Once the reboot process is initiated, it will go to the usual start up process until it gets passed the Windows logo screen. Then it will initiate the chkdsk /f command, wait for it to get done and see if that helps with any of your hard drive issues.
5. And lastly is trying to perform the Registry Cleaner, this is to remove redundant/unwanted items from the Windows registry.
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Run your computer into Safe Mode, follow the Steps 1-3 in Solution 3.
Step 2: Press the Windows key ->select Run then type regedit and hit Enter.
Step 3: Click the File tab -> select Export then type the name for the backup file then click save.
Step 4: After you create a backup of your registry, click on the (+) sign to expand sections of HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINE.
Step 5: Scroll down and Click (+) plus sign of SOFTWARE.
Step 6: Same steps to locate the MICROSOFT and find WINDOWS.
Step 7: Then locate CURRENT VERSION -> then find RUN.
Step 8: Locate the files you wish to get rid of and press DELETE.
Step 9: If you are unfamiliar with the purpose of a specific file, do an Internet search to determine its purpose before deleting it.
Step 10: Close the registry editor and restart.
There are various alternatives in solving blue screen issues. Based on my experiences, there are two alternatives that guarantees a 100% effective. These are known as the Bootable antivirus and recovery tools and the Windows XP installer.
Bootable antivirus and recovery tool from avast! Or also known as Avast! BART has a wide range of applications that can be used for computer system maintenance. These include the registry cleaner, junk file remover, check disk, and servant salamander, and the antivirus.
Registry Cleaner is similar to that of Windows application but offers numerous features and much faster that it would only take up to 1-3 minutes.
Note: Avast! Bootable antivirus and recovery tool runs before the OS boot.
The junk file remover is used to remove broken shortcuts or leftovers of uninstalled programs that occupies disk space and other temporary files. After the scan you will then ask to delete those useless files.
Check disk is similar to that of Windows tools and also includes a surface scan and automatically fix system errors.
Note: Aside from memory issues; most of the time the blue screen will appear due to program incompatibilities or a file system that cannot be found due to bad sectors or unreadable portions of the hard drive. It will then lock those portions so it can't be filled up with data and recovers those lost or corrupted files.
The Servant Salamander is a tool in which you can browse your files before the operating system boots. You can add, edit, delete, and move files from your computer and you can find and manually delete viruses or potentially unwanted programs there. There are two files to delete. And these are known the System Volume Information and Recyclers.
Hint: Most of the time viruses reside on the system volume information that causes system failure. Even if you perform system restore, it is useless since viruses hid themselves on the system volume information and will show up again anytime.
Warning: Do not delete NTLDR and other system files. Just those two that are stated above.
Note: A warning message will be shown to confirm to delete the file. Just choose delete all when selecting the system volume information and recyclers.
SECOND ALTERNATIVE:
The WINDOWS XP INSTALLATION CD:
If you can't boot from your OS because a blue screen will appear then you can run the Windows XP installation cd just like reformatting but just by selecting the recovery console. When selected, a command prompt will appear and then you will type their CHKDSK.
Another option is the repair feature. Reformatting the drive will erase the selected partition so just choose the repair by pressing R next to the fresh installation options. The repair will only reconfigure those system files and incompatibilities.
If your computer was running properly before and the problem just started after playing the game “Grand Chase,” try booting your computer using the last known good configuration setting. Restart your computer then press F8 before the Windows logo appears. In the “Advanced Boot Options” screen, select “Last known good configuration” then hit Enter to boot the computer. See if this works.
If this didn’t work, try to uninstall and reinstall the game client. Go to Revo Uninstaller Download and download the free version. Once installed, start Revo then select your game “Grand Chase” from the list. Click “Uninstall” then follow the instructions. This will uninstall the game client from your computer and all components it created will be removed from registry entries down to temporary files.
When it is finished, close Revo then restart the computer. After booting, go to CCleaner Free Download and download the free version. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. After this, install Grand Chase back. If the problem continues, install the latest patch. Also, check the game’s system requirements and make sure your computer meets the requirements.
If you want to convert CCleaner to Pro, download the codes and follow the instructions.
