Virtualize a physical Machine into VMware workstation

Hello all

I have windows 7 on my system and on another physical machine that I want to assume as a virtual workstation.

I am not yet successful in making the VMware 8 operational. I am an administrator on both machines.

When I try to create a network share, I got an error. The screenshot of the error is attached below:

The message states:

Virtualize a Physical Machine

VMware Workstation

A network share could not be created for the user “Randy Bryan”. The network share is required to receive the virtualized “Windows XP Professional”. The user account may not have sufficient privileges.

Can anyone please help me out to solve this issue and guide me what should I do next? Your help will be highly appreciated.

Virtualize a physical Machine into VMware workstation

 

Hi Jolieyuliana,

It seems that your PC is having win7 but your targeting pc does not have win7 and when you are trying to connect the system found the target pc don’t have win7 and the win7 privileges is different than win XP, so you have to make sure both are in same OS or you have to give full privilege to your both OS to connect.
