I have a Dell XPS PC which is running on Windows 8, recently I installed a new mouse (Optical and wired) since then, I have realized that the cursor is so jumpy and erratic such that clicking and highlighting words is almost impossible, scrolling using the wheel disables the mouse altogether and the cursor will freeze, forcing me to unplug and plug the mouse back to the computer, what are the possible reasons for this problem? How can I solve it ?

I have installed both windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10 in my Dell Latitude E6410 which has a GSM SIM card slot, BroadBand connection is okay when on windows 8, but when I login onto Ubuntu, I can't find a way to connect to the internet using the GSM SIM card, what could be the problem here and how can I connect to the internet using the GSM SIM card slotted in the computer?

I have been using Windows Office for my projects for a long time and I have enjoyed a particular shortcut which allows repeat of recent action in Ms Word (F4 key) for example, if the last action was cut or paste, pressing this key will repeat this action, I got  a new Dell OptiPlex with Ubuntu 13.10 pre Installed and I have been looking for a way to reproduce the same shortcut on Oracle document editor, how can I achieve this?

I have a Dell Latitude E6540 and I have installed both Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10 operating systems but on windows, when I manually switch off Blue tooth/WiFi, both WiFi and Bluetooth are off, but in Ubuntu only the Bluetooth is off but WifI stays on when the manual switch is off, what could be the cause of this? How can a manual switch (which is supposed to switch off both WiFi and Bluetooth) switch off one of the feature leaving the other one?

I have installed Windows 8 alongside Ubuntu 13.10 on my Acer Aspire S7, it was working well until I updated to Windows 8.1, each time I try to boot by selecting either Windows or Ubuntu, the computer restarts automatically, I don't want to lose either of the OS, how do I solve this one, What could be the reason for the restart?

I have been using WiFi with  TMAS GSM/GPRS TMA-M55i Modem and I have Ubuntu 13.10, internet surfing was awesome then suddenly the modem would get really hot and stop connecting until I reboot, I have tried troubleshooting but my connection remains unstable, what could be the problem? I have tried replacing the Modem and am getting the same Problem.

What could be causing my Lenovo's G580 touchpad to hang when scrolling halfway through the page? The USB mouse trackball is also having the same problem, I am running on Windows 8.1 which I updated recently! Am forced to close the page am scrolling using the task manager to resume working.

I have recently purchased Tesoro's Cherry Key keyboard, it was working well then all of sudden some keys are on and off, I have tried blowing thinking debris could be the problem but nothing changed, how can I run cdebconf-newt-detect-keys in Ubuntu 13.10 to get the keyboard layout to check the keyboard layout?
