I am having a problem with importing WMV files into After Effects CS4. I get an error message reporting file not found with error code (-43) (3::40) for any WMV file I try to import. This happens with every single file I try to import; even with files created using After Effects. I am able to import these files with windows movie maker but After Effects fails to import them. I am encountering a strange problem of late. Every time I attempt to save a new image file or save an existing file replacing an old saved state to the new save, the file gets corrupted and can longer be opened. It gives me an error code 43. I recently installed AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 and ever since I am unable to launch this application. Every time I attempt opening, it crashes with a Fatal Error message. After completing the work and having split it into layers, I am trying to import a Google SketchUp file into 3DS Max. I saved it with the normal SKP extension in Sketchup.
