I’m using Vista platform and about two days ago I started getting this error every time I tried to run a program, except for MSWord and Windows Messenger.
C:WindowsSystem32Version.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.
I cannot even install an Anti-Virus Programs which many forums I read suggest, because I get the error message right before the Setup Wizard starts. I am totally lost and would greatly appreciate any help.
We have two domain controllers. One is the 2003 Domain Controller which contains the entire 5 FSMO roles and the other is 2000 domain controller intended for the forest.
I wanted to use Windows Server 2008 for the domain controller after accomplishing all the AD prep and others. The main plan was to move down the 2000 domain controller following the setting up of the AD on 2008 system.
The set up progressed but just before finishing the said process, I encountered an error messages which says that “Operations failed because: Active Directory Domain Services could not create the NTDS Settings,...

We just experienced a hard drive failure on our RAID1 configuration on an SBS 2003 server here at our work place. We tried to resolve this by changing it to a HDD from Dell but this was unsuccessful because of the several defective blocks on the initial HDD.
I have spoken with a technical support person from Dell and I was advised that we cannot simply establish a backup since a latest HDD would probably not work as well. He also told me that we should have done this from the very start.
I also thought of transferring everything to a...
Read moreTechyv hello,
One of the users has a lot of WinZip files, which have uploaded by public for copyright registration to ‘Siebel’. It is not able to open in ‘Siebel’. I have found those files in the server and copied the same to my desktop. I have confirmed that it is WinZip files only by seeing PK characters in the file header.
When I am left clicking on it, word opens and I can only see a grey background with convert file dialogue box, which asks to ‘convert file from’ and shows different options. I have no idea what is to...
Read moreHi Lisa here,
My operating system is Windows Vista and I have purchased a multifunction printer. I think most of the functions are working properly. I can take printouts, and photostat from the computer.
The problem is, I am not able to scan any documents from my computer. There is an option in the software, which comes with the printer, that says ‘Scan to’. But when I am using that function it is searching and returns with the message that says ‘it is not able to communicate with the scanner’.
I have connected through MFP through my home network. I thought there may be some problem...

I installed openSuse 11.0 for my Linux OS and downloaded catalyst 8.9 to be installed after. Then, I completed the installation of Catalyst 8.9 by following the ‘Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)’ site’s instruction and the installation was a success. (I can tell that the driver was installed because I was then able to enhance my screen resolution). In spite of this, I came to face an error message when I tried starting the catalyst control center. The attached error message will give you a better idea.
Initialization error
There was a problem initializing Catalyst...
Read moreDo you have any experience of installing openSUSE on an encrypted partition? I wanted to do it but I encounter this error (See attached screenshot). It would be very helpful if you could provide any assistance. I urgently need a solution to this.
