I purchased Avast antivirus a year ago. And then when my license gets expired, I purchased it again and renewed so I can continue using it. When successfully done with the renewing of license, I attempt to scan my computer but I got an error stating that the license I am using is expired. I just purchased it on Avast page and my subscription will end next year. I tried to uninstall and re-installed the program but I only get the same faulty message. What should I do? I have a computer running on 64bit Windows 7 Pro. I am having a number of problems with the internet connection. It takes long (about 15 seconds) to connect to the internet from sleep mode. The computer is connected to a Linksys switch, which is connected to a cable modem router. An exclamation mark indicating that there is no internet accessibility is displayed. I have tried changing the static address, disabling the firewall and malware option on the antivirus (Avast) that I am using, but still the problem persists. Please help.

Has anybody ever had this situation where you have two IP addresses each having different service providers, different host names and different web info yet turn up with identical locations on the map?  I can’t quite figure it out. Thank you.

I am wondering if it is accurate to say that no errors have ever arisen even in the case of segment checksums matching values in checksum field when UPD receiver computes segments. Is there any truth in this?

I keep having this error message informing me that Data Execution Prevention has to close for the protection of my computer. 

When I click OK I expect the error message to stop appearing, but it still persists, then stating that the “Internet Explorer needs to close,  sorry for the inconvenience.” 

How do I fix the problem?

I would like to ask for assistance on how to load the SP3 on my computer.  It is a 7-year old Compaq Presario SR1000 sr1420AN running on Windows XP. I have tried installing the SP3 several times but it always fails.  The file has become corrupted and I might be forced to go back to restore point.  Any ideas?

I am using a new HP computer that is running on Windows 7.  I am however having difficulty setting it to display the Google logo – red, white, green.  The IE world icon does not encounter any problems at all and is being displayed properly.  In Win XP I was able to change the icons easily as there were several options to choose from.  I would also like to change the files on display only as an open envelope on the desktop.  Please help. Your ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I have recently migrated from a UNIX System to an AIX System and discovered that I am unable to carry out certain commands such as find.  Type d! – empty.  I think in an AIX system ‘empty’ is not recognized, while in UNIX it is.  Can someone please tell me what to do? Thanks.
