My Dell laptop won’t go into a standby mode. The configuration is correct and all the settings are also perfect and are showing up in the control panel of the computer. Every time I try putting it in a standby mode it remains powered. What could be the problem with computer and which other settings can I check in the computer that is related to powering a computer to help in resolving this issue?

I have a Windows XP computer with a hard disk memory of 40GB. It is too slow for and the memory is also too small for the files I want to keep in it. It is also unable to run quite a number of applications. It also freezes a lot while playing MP4 video files. My computer has a compact disk ROM that only plays CDs. I would be happier if it could also read other formats of DVDs. I have a feeling that there is a way in which enhancements can be made to suite the description of what I want. What can I do to enable my computer read DVDs too?  And is there any software that I can install to help my computer read DVDs? Thanks in advance.

The memory of my computer is full and I can no longer store any file in it. When looking at the hard disk’s memory, it does not show the properties of the drive. I want to format it, but I have never formatted any before, so I don’t know how to carry out the whole procedure. I have a Nokia Lumia 535 Windows Phone bought recently and still in perfect condition.  I have saved some documents (pdf, word, excel, powerpoint etc.) from my computer.  The problem is that I can’t access any of these office docs (word, excel, PowerPoint) via the Nokia Lumia save for the pdf ones.  I have confirmed that these documents show on my SD card when I access them via the computer.  I have also backed up a few copies via OneDrive and realized that these show up too.  However, I can’t rely on this method since I have to set...

Hi. I am more on gaming and I need to know if upgrading to GTX 1000 Series will be a better option. I've got GTX 680 SLI right now. I want to play games with 4K videos and games so please let me know if GTX 1000 Series is available now or just go with GTX 980? 

I have many files with spaces and underscores in the file names which is acceptable by windows. But for an application i am using it cannot tolerate any spaces or special character in the file names. Hence, I am currently manually updating all the file names. But it looks like it is going to take a long time and hence wanted to check for help here. Can anybody share a script or batch file to read all the files in a folder and if the file name has space or special character those have to be removed. Thank you...
