I want to automate changing the repeat interval of keys. Presently I am doing it on login every time. But it goes back to default and hence I have to set it on next time log in. Which is the registry in the system which holds the value of repeat rate? Can I change the registry key using some kind of C program? Do I need to also use batch file to run automatically on startup and change the keys repeat rate? Are there any other precautions I have to take while manually editing the registry? Can I edit...

My questions are the following. I have a laptop and I enjoy using Bluetooth headset with it when working. Why do desktop do not come with Bluetooth. In other words, I would like to know if there is a way to make desktops, including old ones, Bluetooth compatible. WiFi is so common nowadays. Also, I might be wrong. I am facing an interesting issue with my CPU at office. Whenever I remove the plugs from the socket and try to turn on the CPU, the CPU doesn't turn on. Then I called the service team. They came after a day and when they came and pressed the power button it simply powered on! I had to think whether I was really experiencing problem or not. This problem happened recently again when I had removed the plugs to move the table. The same sequence repeated. No matter how many times I press the button CPU didn't turn on...

But after that incident, I have observed peculiar issue with the touch screen. If I touch somewhere it senses the touch somewhere else! I could believe that this is because I dropped the phone but this touch issue doesn't happen all the time, also, if I lock and unlock the screen the issue disappears. So, my question is does this look like a hardware issue still or I can go...

I am working on a project with a team to detect license plate in the image, and recognize the characters (character extraction). The image will be the front view of the vehicle. The problem I am stuck in is with the Algorithms I am using. I am utilizing both linear discriminate analysis and PCA methods. In both, for some vehicles I am getting the stickers or labels the drivers stick to the car. Is there any algorithm other than the mentioned which is used widely? One typical problem again here is license plates have no discipline in fonts. The...

I had a computer DVD writer kept aside because it was spare and was unused. Now, I am thinking of using it too along with the existing DVD writer which is presently installed in the desktop. Have anybody tried this way? Can a DVD writer be placed outside on the table with the computer cables coming out if the CPU. I may sound strange but this kind of installation will help me saving space on my table as I can hide CPU somewhere below the table and stop using the installed DVD writer. Any...
