I have a laptop and a desktop which both will be connected together via router. is it possible that only laptop has good internet connection but not PC? I am getting speeds signicantly lower than what i am getting in laptop? What is wrong? is there a problem in the router? I am getting most of the failed packets in PC. laptop works as normal. Should i doubt on PC adapter? I am performing Ping 192.168.1.1 to estimate packet loss.

I am using windows 7 in virtual machine. Is there any issues in using windows update for OS installed in Virtual Machine? I am trying to enable the automatic update on but whenever i try to do, the internet page laods and take me into a help paeg of microsft where it says how to enable it. I know how to enable it but not how to solve this error. What are the other settings to be done to download updates from Windows 7. How to update internet explorer alone?

I am trying to clean up all the file history contents in Windows 8. I had done this earlier safely without any errors. Is there any reason for not completing the function in windows 8? How to avoid errors in and complete the File History removal successfully? I have rebooted the PC many a times but the problem still persists. Will event log help in this case? I am looking for a way to establish dial in connection automatically. I will keep the Modem on but the dial has to happen at the time i program. Is it possible to write accomplish this using scripts? I was traveling in  bus and was carrying the laptop. I thought of using laptop and hence opened it and started to go through some help documents. The screen was super and fine till them. But due to a road block or something, I hit the laptop to the front seat. Suddenly entire display went off. I shut down the laptop. I have only used Microsoft excel during college days and now I really regret to have no expertise in the same. I have to enter a set of numbers, indeed they are quite a lot. All the numbers should be in ascending order. The difference between the numbers should be some times 0.5 and sometimes 0.44. It varies a lot.
