Another year, another Meta update. This year’s highlights include Reels improvements, the launch of Small Business Studios and a Creator Marketplace, and more direct support from the Meta Pro Team. Let’s examine Facebook’s changes.
1. New Instagram Videos Become Reels
Facebook and Instagram have emphasized Reels recently, and reels have been updated. Full-screen videos are now standard. All under-15-minute videos will be shared as Reels, and Videos and Reels tabs will be integrated. Reels’ advanced editing features can be used on all video posts moving forward.
2. Meta Deploys SBS
Meta launched Small Business Studios, a resource center for businesses and marketers. 3. Boost Reels
Reels are becoming a priority for marketers and casual users, and you can now promote them on Instagram. Boosted Reels appear in feeds, Stories, and Reels. To enhance a Reel, tap Boost Post in your profile grid. You can choose campaign settings and budget. Reels must match these conditions to be boosted A 60-second video limit applies. 916 aspect ratio required (full vertical screen). The Reel can’t use copyrighted music, stickers, effects, or GIFs.
4. Invitation-Only Launch Of Creator Marketplace
Meta’s Creator Marketplace has been in development for a while, and we’re finally getting a glimpse at the dashboard as it enters testing with a limited set of U.S. brands. The Creator Marketplace in Meta’s Business Suite allows marketers to locate creators to partner with. Short descriptions, recent posts, and key data like followers, engagement, and reach will be included. The marketplace helps marketers identify the right influencers. Gender, age, location, and interest filter creator profiles. Audiences can be filtered similarly. The Creator Marketplace goes beyond discovery. Dashboard features include communication and cooperation. Brands may communicate with creators, outline campaigns, and require deliverables.
5. Meta Pro Team Rebrands Facebook Marketing Experts
The Facebook Marketing Experts program offers firms high-quality support, and Facebook is expanding and renaming the program Meta Pro Team.

6. Improved Creator Monetization
Mark Zuckerberg stated that Meta will help Instagram and Facebook creators earn more money. Creators can keep earning, and Zuckerberg ruled out income sharing until 2024. Badges, subscriptions, and paid online events are included. All eligible creators can use Facebook Stars. (Before, only some creators had access). Reels Play Bonus expands monetization for producers, and Instagram Reels can be posted to Facebook and monetized. Subscriptions will be interoperable, and authors can provide other paying users access to subscriber-only Facebook Groups. Instagram tests Creator Marketplace. This service helps creators partner with brands. Digital Collectibles test grows. More creators can display NFTs in-app. After being trialed on Facebook, this functionality will come to Instagram. Meta will try NFTs in Instagram Stories.
7. Create Reels From Existing Videos
Meta changes Reels to make it easier for users to create. Creator Studio users can make Reels from existing videos, and Navarra spotted this update. This upgrade lets users create short-form videos from existing content. Reels and Stories allow you to share video clips. This is the latest Reels release this year. Hootsuite is thrilled and will boost its social media management platform. 25% of Instagram accounts have Reels API access, and the launch is scheduled for July 6.
8. Instagram Brings Out New Supervision & Time Management Tools
Social media safety for kids is a worry. Instagram has introduced new tools to help younger users use the network responsibly. Parents can learn when their teen reports an account or post, along with who and what was said. Set parameters for days or weeks to restrict teen app use.
9. Invite Teens To Start Monitoring Tools
Instagram will give teens reminders to encourage content diversity. These appear if they frequently view the same Explore material. Notifications can also improve users’ awareness of platform time. The U.S., U.K., Japan, Australia, Ireland, Canada, France, and Germany will implement these adjustments next month. By year’s end, they’ll be everywhere.
10. Instagram Grid Posts Can Be Pinned
Instagram revealed that “pinned” posts were in development, and now they’re here! Users can pin three posts to the top of their profile grid as it rolls out. In addition, you can manage what users see when they visit your account. Pins can emphasize promotions, your brand, or high-value material. To pin a post, visit its Reel, and click the three dots to see “Pin to your profile.” You’re done.
