Acer Timeline X 3830TG Review
Acer America has released new, second generation, beautiful series known as Timeline. Acer is one of the most popular laptop companies. This company was founded in 1976. Since 2000, it focused on the new technologies and basic computing, its price is reasonable that is why it is rapidly growing in fame.
New Acer TimelineX is available in 3 sizes; 13.3 inch 3830TG, a 14-inch 4830TG and 15.6-inch 5830TG. Acer 3830TG 13.3 inch had always dotted a modern ice blue, black and silver color scheme, but these days only ice blue is available in the market. Its fame has blossomed on account of its improved style, performance and battery life.
Acer Timeline X has Widescreen “CineCrystal” LED-backlit displays, with the display ratio of 16:9. It offers a screen resolution of 1366×768, which is the highest one, and a finishing gleam. After giving it a first glance, we detect a different look than the usual Acer laptop style. The case has a decent look. It is not too glamorous but presents a unique color termed as “Ice Blue”; a combination of blue, silver and black. The lid can be pushed down to a most surprising angle of 155o. Its matte surface is comfortable while in use and removes the dust easily. The matte base plate is of black color and is comprised of a lot of exhaust vents.
Coming to the keyboard, you will find that it has got a Chiclets keyboard with keys that are soft when pressed. Left and right click functions can be performed absolutely soundless. The color combination is particularly dashing, it begins with the silver coated keyboard and the inside hand-rest emitting a blue color, thus giving off a beautiful contrast.
Acer has not included the optical hard drive in this 3830TG, if you want it with optical drive, you can choose 4830TG or 15.6 5830TG. This is one of a few drawbacks of this model.
Acer timeline 3830TG has Intel core i5 with the speed of 2.3GHz to 2.9GHz. It has the DDR3 memory of 4GB and can extend to 8GB. 640 GB HD data storage capacity is very good.
It has got a battery that can be charged fully in a very minimal time, which is simply two hours at 6000mAh consequently saving your time and power as well. Also, you encounter no problems if your laptop is plugged in to a power source while working at the same time. The downside attributed to the battery is that it cannot be removed. Once it is damaged, you got to bring it to a franchise for repair. It has an unusually long battery life.
What happens after buying? You will be given a 2-year warranty, greater than usual, free 3-G Modem and Microsoft Backpack. Prices can be checked out at Acer’s site. Just as an interesting fact Timeline X made an overall score of 6620 points in the PCMark Vantage benchmark, reaching the top third rank of the entire database. The laptop is really appealing because of its perfect color contrast but the case quality could have done with a bit of improvement.
Acer offers good packages requiring a reasonable amount of cash. It presents generally good impression and a classy look.
