The Apple’s iPhone 6 is approaching to come this fall and has been one of the most fundamental devices in the history of the mobile world today. While the recent iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C obtain minimal updates to its predecessor, there seem to have a lot of tensions and hassles piled on the upcoming iPhone 6. It’s very common that the Internet world is flooded with rumors, speculations and absolute lies to the next generation Apple device. On a survey, iPhone 6 is known to be the most expected Smartphone ever.
With the release of the iOS 8, we expect that iPhone 6 will debut the newest version of iOS. The rumored iPhone 6 release date is sometime in September of this year, which landed on the same release date of the latest iOS 8. The retail listing revealed that the iPhone 6 stocks will come on September 30. Based on ifun.de, Apple prohibits holidays during the month of September for employees at the German Apple Stores, which evoke a new hardware release. And it seems that Apple users will see more than one Apple iPhone 6 device this 2014.
The Internet world has already shown some mock-ups on the looks of the latest iPhone 6, which implies to a 4.7-inch display. A new confirmation affirmed that it would have a dimension of 13 x 6.5 x 0.7cm and will weight 113 grams. Amazon has already listed the cost of iPhone 6 and confirmed that the 64GB US Version will hold a price tag of $1,380, which is probably higher than the closing price.
Apple has been testing a variety of sizes for the iPhone 6 screen, from its original 3.5-inch to 4.7-inch display, bringing it in line with its competitors that adopts bigger displays. Maybe this time, Apple finally recognizes the soaring consumer demand for Smartphones with bigger displays. If these are all true, Apple will surely introduce a larger 5.5-inch version.
iPhone 6 4.7-inch version is expected to release on September, while there are still some production issues on the launching of the 5.5-inch version, it will somewhat be released on the later date. As expected, both versions will have an upsurge resolution because of their larger screens. iPhone 6 will possibly have a resolution of 1704 x 906 giving the 4.7-inch model a 416p density and the 5.5-inch model will have a 365p density.
Next to a larger screen, the iPhone 6 may have an enduring Sapphire display from the original Corning Gorilla Glass, and may also have a reduced bezel and a narrow chassis. The 5.5-inch model may feature an Optical Image Stabilization as a distinctive feature from the 4.7-inch model. Rumors are also stating that the iPhone 6 5.5-inch model is the first and only model with 128GB storage size.
Leaks are also suggesting that the iPhone 6 will be significantly thinner than its predecessor. It will possibly be between 6mm to 7mm, and may be the same or close to the thickness of the iPod Touch. The current iPhone 5S has a 7.6mm thickness and the iPod Touch has a 6.1mm thickness.
Since April, various images and leaks about the iPhone 6 have raised. Apple is asking the Chinese Police to stop the alleged leaks. The first thing that leaks are the front panel that displays a remarkably thinner bezel and laterally with the same templates for the front-facing camera, home button, speaker, sensor and the ambient light. The next set visibly represents the glossiness on the front panel. The marginally elongated front-facing camera arose later.
The iPhone 6 mock-ups have been emerging, consisting of different models that seems to be based on the rumored iPhone 6 styles from the MacFan magazine. The mock-ups presented a thinner chassis and bezels and an all new volume button with a shape of a pill. Some also shows a shuffled sleep and wake button, which is placed on the right corner of the device so users can access it with one hand. However, it is still unsure whether the iPhone 6 real design will be similar to the surge of mock-ups that we have seen in the past weeks.
The latest mock-ups that we receive are getting more detailed, showing a two-toned design consisting of rounded corners, aluminum back, and the antenna that was inserted in another color. It may also have a larger camera with a rounded flash. The possible colors of the iPhone 6 4.7-inch models might be available in colors gold, silver and space gray. The iPhone 6 cases are are comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Nexus 5.
The iPhone 5S comes with a 64-bit A7 with 28 nanometer chip from Samsung while the upcoming iPhone 6 might be using a 20-nanometer A8 chip from the TSMC. The two are said to be smaller yet energy efficient. The A8 chip will have the same 31% improvement in terms of performance; the same rate of improvement on the A7 chip. Rumors are also pointing to a quad-core 64-bit processor for the iPhone 6 chip with a 2.0GHz frequency. It is also limited to 1GB of RAM.
It seems that Apple will continue using the Series6 graphics that is also used in iPhone 5S, but it may have the Series 6XT PowerVR GPUs comprises with a 50% standard increase in performance as compared to its predecessors.
Rumors also suggested that iPhone 6 will still be using the 8-MP sensor with additional improvements in camera. One of it is the OIS or the Optical Image Stabilization. OIS utilizes a motion-tracking that will pay on the shakiness of the device, giving a sharper photos and videos.
The iPhone 6 will most likely continue to use the Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor feature, but this time, TSMC will be producing this feature and shipments has already been made. It will also support 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, which is three times faster than the 802.11n wireless standard.
A lot of iPhone users have explicitly squeezed out their desire for an improved battery life in iPhone 6. However, the report says, both 4.7 and 5.5-inch models will have the modest battery increase because of higher resolutions on this device with larger displays.
After all these rumors and mock-up leaks, Apple will surely bring a more powerful device, making it sure that they will stay in-line with the competitors and the trend of having a bigger and better display.
