Check Out the New Dell XPS 15
Laptops are becoming quite the fad nowadays. Thus, Dell introduces Dell XPS 15 to replace those desktops. With its Intel core i5 processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 420M (that could still be enhanced before purchase), you won’t take a look on other laptops. The Dell XPS 15 also has a 15-inch 1080 pixel screen resolution that is HD webcam certified by Skype.
Appearance
The Dell XPS 15 has an aluminum casing which is similar to the Apple MacBook Pro. It has nice forward hinge design similar to the Inspiron line. The overall design, however, speaks corporate. With the size of 1.3X14.7X10.6 inches and a weight of 6.3 pounds, it’s heavier than similar competitors like Acer Aspire AS5820T-5951(5.2 pounds) and Samsung R580-JBB2 (5.4 pounds) but has way better specifications compared to these laptops.

If you’re in to HDTV, the built-in transmitter in the laptop allows you to have the same thing with Intel’s Wireless Display (WiDi) but for this, you need a NetGear Push2TV as the receiver box.
Performance evaluation
With a dual-core 2.53-GHz Intel Core i5-460M processor and 4GB of DDR3 RAM, you’ll enjoy the perfect combination. It also wins over the rest in the Handbrake (2:45), Cinebench R11.5 (2.3) and PCMark Vantage (6,426).
Having the Nvidia GeForce GT 420M as its graphics chip (changeable to GeForce GT 435M), you can have the best gaming and viewing experience. The Nvidia chipset can also automatically be turned off when not in use and switch to Intel integrated graphics chipset because of the Optimus technology.
The XPS 15 has a 56WH (6-cell) battery that will last around 3 hours and 48 minutes. It can also be changed into a 92WH (9-cell) extended battery for $40 creating an inch of elevation.
