Design and Features
The Omni 100’s polished black design is striking at very angle. Its screen is suspended at one tilt point with an arm. It is also adorned in black. The arm suspension permits space below the screen to place the keyboard. Below the screen are supreme built-in speakers which are perfect for music and browsing.
The Omni 100 is equipped with six USB ports. It is also equipped with a digital media card reader, Ethernet port, webcam, audio ports, and a DVD drive. The screen is impressive with its LED-backlit feature. The wide screen of the system has a 16:9 aspect ratio along with a 1,600-by-900 resolution. This is quite comfortable to those who are in to movie viewing and gaming. With the Omni 100, you’ll have the best viewing experience.
The desktop has a built-in WiFi. The Media Smart interface of HP is also included. With the Media Smart interface, a dock is placed on top of your screen with links to certain programs like the DVD player, music player and webcam.
Performance
The Omni 100 is not that expensive so don’t expect it to be super powerful or amazing. However, it is still remarkably fast and convenient for the usual PC user. Having a 3GB of DDR3 memory and an AMD Athlon II X2 250u dual-core processor, it allows the unit to run smoothly. The Omni 100 is also good at multimedia tasks.
With Omni 100’s superior media consumption performance, you can smoothly play YouTube videos and 1080 p streams. Programs and browsers run efficiently on the Omni 100 as compared to other desktops within its price range. However, the 3 GB memory cannot handle several programs and apps that are opened simultaneously. High-end 3D games are not good for the Omni 100. You’re better off playing Farmville or Diner Dash instead. Since Omni 100 doesn’t have any touch screen features, you do not have to worry with any touch screen issues.
