There are a lot of new Chinese smartphone manufacturers out in the market now which have impacted the smartphone department. One of the main reasons being the minimum price tag it carries while the not so minimum hardware and software specifications that come along with it.
One of the most recent upcoming Chinese smartphone manufacturer COOLPAD recently launched a phone with a fingerprint sensor. While this is not the good news, the good news comes with the price of the phone as it is below 10,000 INR.
The COOLPAD DAZEN NOTE 3 is the latest offering by the company and has made the fingerprint sensor available on the sub 10,000 rupee phone.
Is the phone really worth the hype? Or is it just another Chinese phone with a cheap price tag!
DISPLAY
The COOLPAD NOTE 3 has a 5.5’ HD display with a 720x1280p screen which offers a 267ppi. The 5.5’ screen doesn’t look washed out and is quite lively and vibrant. The screen also has good viewing angles. Although the phones PPI is on the lower side, the phone still manages to keep the text and images sharp and crisp without showing any sign of pixilation. The phone is quite legible in sunlight and the brightness levels are good. The responsiveness of the touch is also good.
DESIGN
The COOLPAD NOTE 3 doesn’t get a lot of attention in the crowd, but it doesn’t look ugly too! The phone has got rounded edges and a soft matt back which is removable. Inside the back cover is the sealed battery, the sim card slots and the micro SD card slot. The rear also sports a 13mp camera and LED flash. Just below the camera module is the much hyped fingerprint sensor. The front of the phone has a chrome finish bezel around the screen.
The volume rockers of the note 3 are placed on the upper left side of the device while the power button is placed on the right.
PERFORMANCE
The COOLPAD NOTE 3 is powered by the mediate octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.3GHZ. The ram capacity of the device is 3GB and it has an internal storage of 16GB with the option to add a 64GB micro SD card slot.
CAMERA
The phone has a 13mp back camera with led flash and a 5mp front camera.
