The issue between the Facebook and German Government:
The Issue between Facebook and Germany is because of a post that magazine in the Facebook. Germany concerned it as a fake and false news and complained it to the Facebook, requested them to delete it but investigation says that Facebook did not consider them and not the post. For such obligation, Germany brought a new rule that ” To Fine the Social Network sites like Facebook if the fake posts are not deleted within 24 hours of complaint from the victim and the fine will be around 500,000 euros”.
The German Elections are going to hold as soon as possible; the German government is carefully thinking that ” May Russia be interfered and will make allegations against the German Government which the bad reputation in the mind of the Germans.” Such rumors or fake news will be vastly spread through mainly Social Networking Sites.
So the Germans are trying to stop such things with their new laws. The Germans can file a complaint on any Network Sites if any fake and false news are posted. Mostly Facebook has 36.8 million active users only from German. So they are more careful about those news spreading sources. German Government is asking the Facebook authority to assign a team and to build a Legal Protection Office to have an eye on the fake news and start to eradicate them by catching the culprits who are responsible for such news.
If anyone of the sites is unable to delete the fake news or not to respond to the complaints about the fake and false posts within 24 hours they should pay fine around 500,000 euros.
Some more sources are saying that Facebook is unable to respond to such news that is spreading over their Network even after the complaint has filed directly.
Patrick Sensburg who is a member of the CDU said that ” ratcheting up the statutory offenses against fake news producers and take action against the people who runs these websites” through an Interview.
