Before iPads and iPods came into the picture, Creative has been in the music player industry. To claim back Creative’s share in the music industry, the company declared their first entry in the world of tablet manufacturing and their Pure Wireless Entertainment line.
Among these products launched are the two tablets, namely the ZiiO, available in 10 and 7 inches, and the Zen Touch 2.
ZiiO used the Android version 2.1, has a built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, supports a number of file formats, and can provide up to 5 hours of video viewing or 25 hours of audio listening. To make the media experience better, aside from the functionality of the Android tablets; which is email and Web browsing, the ZiiO has a killer music app. With the X-Fi Crystalizer program, the songs sound as they were recorded or in CDs. X-Fi technology is designed to provide better and powerful sounds through built-in speakers or earphones
Creative’s goal is to create a connected, quality audio system that goes wherever you go. Thus, the ZiiO was created to stream a great quality audio-stereo, Bluetooth headphones, and speakers. Using codec and processor, the Creative upgrades the quality of the audio streamed in Bluetooth.
On the other hand, the Zen Touch version 2 is known as the iPod touch to the iPad of ZiiO. It has a built-in GPS and FM radio, a 2-megapixel camera, and has the similar wireless streaming capacity of the ZiiO. The cost will depend on the storage and screen size.
Furthermore, the Creative has also announced an upgrade to its speakers. The new wireless speaker system, the ZiiSound T6, is well-matched with all stereo Bluetooth devices. With this, it brings the unique engineering of Creative, such as the apt-X codec, to produce surround-sound audio with just two subwoofer and speakers. Furthermore, USB ports can be used to plug them in and deliver surround. It can also stream audio from over thirty feet away. It is basically designed for Creative players but can also be used with other compatible devices.
The ZiiO and the Zen Touch 2, together with the innovative speaker systems, are considered as excellent portable media or home choice. Creative has a clever way of differentiating its tablets with upgraded audios. Creative also announced that all products will be on sale in time for the holidays in December.
