Design
The M8000Xtreme mouse has an exterior that is made up of soft rubber on the top and side portions to give a neat look to the mouse; and because of the rubber enclosure, makes the mouse very comfortable to use, especially to those users who are fond of playing computer games and spending many hours using a mouse. It also has a thin lustrous frame with a glowing Ghost logo that changes color when the user is switching between profiles that are programmable. An added feature to its sleek design are two browser buttons, located on the upper portion of the thumb rest and at the left side. A tap on the button on the left side allows the user change profiles. A plastic scroll wheel between the mouse buttons is designated with vertical and horizontal scrolling capabilities. The impressive feature of the mouse is that it is accompanied by a CD containing Gigabyte’s Ghost software. It contains an interface that allows users to personalize the mouse buttons in a drag and drop icon process. The users can also make a number of profiles with various button command arrangements. A glow in the profile’s designated color through Ghost logo, located at the center of the mouse, indicates a change in the profile of the user. The sensitivity of the mouse can also be adjusted on X and Y axis and can range from 90- 6030 dpi. Above the scroll wheel, a dpi button can be switched between the four levels. A macro editing section, that will allow the player to collect mouse actions and perform the actions in a click of a button, was also made for excel-junkies or strategy-game players.
