Now a days some of the movies are displayed using this technology to make the viewers feel the presence in the environment of that of the movie. For this, you are provided with the 3D glasses where the main functionality lies in.
The main trick in this is that each eye has a different view as you feel your eyes are being spaced apart. Then it is work of the brain to put both the pictures of your both eyes together and form one 3D image.
Though the word 3D Stereoscopic glasses are new to us, the concept is not the new one; you are familiar with this but have not noticed it when you were a kid. Do you remember seeing the characters of Disney in 3D by the View Master? There is a trick here; the image is displayed as two pictures with a slight difference where you look, and this makes your brain look at one 3D image thus formed using View Master. The reason behind this is that, if you want to see a 3D image there must be a slight difference between the two images of that picture. If you don’t use your 3D glasses to watch a 3D film, you can see the reflections of the image, and you can’t see it clearly with the naked eyes and hence need to use 3D glasses.
You can see a certain design with the stripes of colors on the 3D glasses, have you ever observed it? To have a three-dimensional effect in the still or a stereoscopic motion picture, those glasses are made using red color for the composite image’s right component which is superposed in a contrasting color on the left component. These spectacles are filtered with such color filters.
The most common 3D glasses you might have used for watching movies are made of paper with red and blue lenses on it. To make the movie and the characters to be real and to feel the presence of them, they use very simple technology. It is just that the way how humans usually see is recreated.
It is just that two reflections of the images to be managed by the brain to form a 3D image and this is possible since your eyes are two inches apart. It takes two different angles for you to see the same picture from both the eyes. And thus, to gauge the distance, these two images are correlated by the brain. This is simply called the binocular vision. This is the process of providing a slightly different image to the each eye.
