Smartphones industry has always been fluctuating, with its new technologies each and every day. Buyers now have a clear picture on what to expect. Smartphones have the world connected with its unique features and applications. Everybody is in the hunt to come up with “The best Smartphone” tag. HTC has not had a good time at the market, but it did make an attempt with the new HTC 10.
HTC did come up with its best Smartphone a year ago, the HTC M8 which was an amazing phone with the best features in it and a sleek design worked for HTC. The updated versions had not been up to the mark and could not last long, which brought HTC to a standstill.
Design:
HTC 10 has come with the metal design on its body, which might give you that iPhone edge. It has got all the requirements a Smartphone should have. The home screen comes with a fingerprint scanner. It is not a physical button installed, but a key which is capacitive. The phone lacks the feature of it being waterproof, unlike its competitors.
Display:
The display resolution has increased to a 1440*2560p, which is a 5- inch screen with the 1080p feature. The screen is sharp and has enough brightness but is not a vividly lit or vibrant of any kind. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The screen causes few problems in direct sunlight because of its low brightness. The HTC 10 comes in two shades of viewing one is vivid and the other being sRGB. Both of them help you change the accuracy of colors.
Performance:
The HTC 10 comes with Snapdragon 820 processor and a 4GB RAM with Kyro cores. These are matching with new releases in the market as well. It has an internal storage of 32GB that can be expanded using an SD card. The Kyro is the new Rockstar at the market. The Quadcore 2.2GHz does enough for the Operating System to function smooth. The performance by the Kyro is on bang where HTC has come up with some serious performance updates here.
Hardware:
HTC has made changes to its audio, it comes with a tweener and one woofer, which are on the front and bottom respectively. The Boom Sound Hi-Fi just like the M8 has given better and impressive results. The audio gets boosted with a greater clarity and bass.
Camera, the most important part we would look at with for a phone of this price. HTC comes with a 12-MP with OIS and laser auto-focus. The ultra pixel gives you more detailing than the M8, M9. The aperture improved with f/1.8 that click good pictures in bright sunlight. Even though it causes few problem with dim lighting, and longer time to focus on nearer subjects. The front facing camera 5 MP also comes with OIS, which can click bright selfies. Though this camera is not matching its rivals in the market, it did do a handsomely good job indeed than its previous versions.
The battery that comes with 2840 mAh is lower than its previous, but it does a far better job. The battery backup is decent with its software consuming more of it. The bonus being its quick charging, which gives it a boost on the battery life.
Conclusion:
The HTC has done well with its updated specs and gave quite a close competition to the Samsung S7. Even though it does not match in few aspects, it’s worth the consideration for its price and far better than the LG’s G5. It is an upgraded revised version of its previous and better than what it offered before.
