It’s 2017, and many of you must be thinking of buying a new phone. If you have considered this idea, we are pretty sure you must have heard about the two market Giants- OnePlus 3T and the iPhone 7.
Here we will compare both these hotcakes of the market and lets see how this flagship phone takes over superphone giant, Apple.
DIMENSIONS
One plus 3T is a relatively large phone at 152.70 X 74.70 X 7.35 mm, while the iPhone 7 stands at 138.30 X 67.10 X 7.10 mm. Here it boils down to personal preference but consider the fact that the OP3T does not feel that big in hand, and easy one hand operation is feasible.
Verdict: This is totally a personal choice, and both options are good.
SCREEN SIZE
As guessed from the Dimensions, the OP3T comes with 2016-17 standard size of 5.5 inch, while iPhone 7, similar to its predecessor i.e. iPhone 6s has a screen size of 4.70 inch.
RESOLUTION
One Plus 3T is a winner here with a super AMOLED screen having a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels, with 401 ppi. Colors are bright and very similar to the original colors. Apple’s iPhone 7 has a less impressive resolution of 750 X 1334 pixels with a 326 ppi, though not a VERY massive difference but worth considering.
DESIGN
One Plus 3T comes in two colors, Gunmetal and Soft Gold carved out of space-grade aluminum and is very loaded to hold. The metal unibody is light and premium.
The iPhone 7 does not change much regarding design from its predecessor the iPhone 6s. The phone comes in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, Black and Jet Black colors. The phone is very light and of course, very premium to hold.
One Plus 3T has chosen to put the 3.5mm jack on the phone while Apple has scrapped it off its latest beauty. If you are someone who spent heavily on great headphones and earphones in the past you might not want to relinquish them so easily.
IPhone Buyers have 5 color options compared to only 2 for OnePlus customers, though these days more often than not, people prefer back covers, hiding the true phone color.
CAMERA
iPhone 7 has heavily boasted it’s camera, even though there are no major design improvements or a impressive battery life, and it does deliver in this field. There is use of six-optic lens with OIS and an aperture of f/1.8. The low light photography is really impressive and beats OnePlus 3T’s low light performance. The Front facetime camera comes with a 7 megapixel sensor and clicks really great images.
The oneplus 3T comes with a Sony IMX298 16-megapixel camera on the rear and a similar 16-MP camera on the front. The colors are lifelike, with excellent contrast and great sharpness. We have tested both these phones and can safely say the front cameras on both of them are quite similar.
One Plus 3T’s back camera is really good, and for something that is almost half the price of an iPhone 7, OnePlus 3T delivers magnificently. Both are very similar and capture great images, but when seen very minutely iPhone 7 clinches this one.

SOFTWARE
Apple comes with its latest iOS 10 and offers a really improved mobile experience and comes with a deeper 3D touch and does not disappoint.
One Plus 3T comes with Google’s Android Marshmallow (now Nougat) and has a near stock android feel. OP has not changed much before placing the Oxygen O.S. , the latest being 4.0.3
