Google came with its Nexus last year with which was manufactured by LG, and the successor six was done by Motorola, and again there is a change in the manufacturer for 5X and 6P that is Huawei. The Nexus 5 did well at the markets irrespective of its few issues. Google has now come up with its latest devices, will these reach our expectations is what we have to see. With its size, they call it a phablet.
Design:
The device moulded out of aluminium which they call it aeronautically graded. The phone looks slimmer for its size and less bulky than its predecessor. The edges cut at right angles which do not have a problem to handle and can easily settle in your hand. The size of the screen did come to 5.7 from its past 5.9. The device is neatly designed though there is the concern on the rear.
There is a bulge on the upper side where the camera fits. Which few might call it a design issue and the rest are fine with it. It is implanted with the auto focus, flash and NFC and few other devices. They even have few antennas, and it has plastic in it on the rear below region, where the antennas are fitted in it regardless, this will not give a bad impression to the design. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear, and the Nexus is imprint below it.
The screen is a 5.7 inch AMOLED screen, which is like the many other with sharp and bright. It does not have an unequal balance of color and has uniform color distribution. There is no change in the uniformity even when you look at them from quite an angle. It is far better than the 6; it also has the adaptive brightness which works just perfect. The saturation is high, but you shouldn’t mind because of the settings where you can change it to RGB mode. The fingerprint scanner is as quick as any; it is responsive, and the setup doesn’t consume much of time. Nexus did not disable the power button option which is a good move. When you have a notification, you can hit on and have a look at the screen. The double tap on releases the camera, his can only be done when in sleep mode and not on power on mode.
Camera and performance:
The camera take a bump than before, it can give you some really bright and sharp pictures because of it sensors that come from the Sony which is 12 Megapixel. The color balance is totally fine, the pictures come with pretty good skin tones and makes it better. The sensors allow more light at a very quick pace and give you such great pictures. The video is also good with its 4K recording and slow motion at two modes (120 and 240fps). The camera has a lag on the HDR mode. It can make the user impatient, but the camera did a good job for its price.
The device is boosted with Snapdragon 810 with a 3GB RAM, which has a clock speed of 2Ghz and Adreno graphics 430. It is faster than before and on high-end gaming as well you don’t have a slight amount of lag which is quite an upgrade. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed with this device.
Conclusion:
It is not the best of the lot but it a good and premium phone that will give it a consideration. Even though the camera is a bit slow on the HDR or the type C USB, which is not quite in use. But all this do not let it down. It is surely a fresh boost to its predecessor. It should get your consideration when it comes to the price; you can prefer the rest only if you can put in some extra bucks.
