The’ operating system’ is an essential component of the user experience on a PC or Mac. Our interactions with computers can create peaceful environments in our homes and workplaces or cause souls to weep in agony because they have witnessed too much suffering to think there is any good left in the world. Design and user satisfaction, Windows 8 was somewhat of a car crash. Thankfully, Windows 10 has proven to be a solid operating system, but much is still to be done. In contrast, macOS has a spick-and-span interface that is stable, easy to use, and, in our opinion, a far, far more excellent place to spend your time.
1. They Come With Excellent Software Included
For practically any computer-based task; PCs have a plethora of perfect software packages at their disposal. Some can be downloaded for nothing, while others cost money can purchase; however, the software doesn’t frequently come with the device. When you start a Mac, you’ll find an impressive collection of effective apps already installed, including Photos, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, FaceTime, Maps, and more. It means you can edit photos, create movies, make music, and complete your work immediately which is all most people will ever need. Apple has also significantly improved the media side of things with macOS Catalina, displacing the out-of-date iTunes with the new Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts apps.
2. Macs Are Cheaper In The Long Run
Yes, you can purchase a Windows computer for less money upfront. The residual value left over after you sell or trade it in should also be considered when determining the actual cost of ownership and the acquisition cost. What tells you how much your computer costs to own is the difference between those two figures. Macs quickly prevail when the cost of ownership is calculated in that manner. Compare what you can get for your three-year-old Mac to the value of a Windows PC from, three years ago (which is frequently close to zero). Almost always, there is no contest.
3. Macs Are Much Easier To Buy
To compare, we tried looking for a PC, but after about 15 minutes, our eyes started to glaze over. With so many options, including manufacturers, bells and whistles, speeds, and sizes, it can be challenging to determine whether you’re getting the best possible deal. With the Mac, it’s much simpler to narrow down your search quickly, AND you can be sure you’re getting a well-made and well-respected product because it comes loaded with a tonne of fantastic software that you’d have to purchase separately from a PC. And to top it all off, PowerMax is unmatched in the PC industry. Happy to assist you at every step of the way, thanks to our helpful and knowledgeable staff.
4. Apple’s Software Generally Makes The Correct Assumptions, Whereas Microsoft Frequently Gets Them Wrong
While running Microsoft’s software, even on a Mac, it loves to interfere, assuming what you’re doing and trying to stay one step ahead. It is subjective. But most of the time, it just becomes irritating. For example, if you type a “1” in Word or Entourage by accident, the following paragraph will suddenly begin with a “2” even though you don’t want it to. Most people spend more time challenging assumptions than they do reaping their benefits. Simply put, Microsoft is awful at getting in the way.
5. Viruses
While this has slightly changed as Apple surpassed Microsoft’s in market share, Mac users continue to enjoy a relatively malware-free existence. We’re not saying they can’t, but for Mac users, it’s much less of an issue than for Windows users.
6. Time Machine And The Cloud
Hard drive backups aren’t done nearly often enough (even though everyone should), but Apple’s Time Machine makes the process so elegant and simple that all you need to do is connect a drive and turn Time Machine on. Additionally, you can go back in time to find a document you deleted, so it’s not just a backup. With the use of iCloud, Apple is assisting with backing up even more, which is especially helpful in this age where so many people use multiple devices like the iPhone and iPad.
7. Microsoft Keeps Its Os Upgrade Process Complicated, While Apple Makes It Simple
Customers of Apple receive a free upgrade to the most recent OS without any trouble. Version names for Windows are inconsistent: 7, 8, XP, Vista, CE, NT, 98, and 2000. The best thing we can say is that their naming strategy matches their OS strategy, which is scattered.
8. For Those Who Want To Complete Their Work, There Is Apple, While Microsoft Is For People Who Enjoy Tinkering With Computers
The back-end, server-infrastructure types of things are generally managed by Microsoft because it is founded in the land of the geeks, who enjoy delving into the machinery, fiddling with all the settings, and comprehending all the acronyms. They want Windows’ user interface because they are familiar with the computer system’s bizarre complexities. Apple isn’t nearly as well-known in the IT industry, but that’s okay because we don’t need to be computer whizzes to use its front-end user interface, which was designed for the rest of us.
9. Let’s Face It; Apple Is Stylish
While countless different PC designs are available, almost everyone agrees that Mac’s elegance, style, and general “hipness” have not surpassed. They merely appear fantastic. Most importantly, Apple’s quality is unmatched because they can avoid the “I can make it cheaper” battle that plagues the PC industry.
10. User Satisfaction
In the end, a Mac is an electronic product, and it must convince the paying customer that its hefty price is justified. The bottom line is, as they say, this. Thankfully, the Mac has remained at the top of customer satisfaction surveys for more than ten years, which is no small accomplishment given that they are pricey products that make big promises to potential buyers. The most convincing argument of all is probably the fact that Apple frequently delivers the good, demonstrating that most customers of Macs have few, if any, regrets.
