For quite some time, India has been increasing its defense industry investments. The main areas where we invest this money are developing missile systems, weapons, ammunition, and transportation. Seven nations, including India, share the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) capability. The fact that we have an Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) system, making us one of only four nations with such a system, is further evidence of the strides we have achieved in this field. We have a variety of missile defense systems, including air defense, ballistic, cruise, and anti-missile systems, as well as anti-ship and air-to-air systems. Here are the most lethal missiles made by India, which will help our armed forces be more powerful.
1. Agni-V
The Agni-V ICBM, the only one in existence in India, has a maximum range of 8,000 kilometers and a maximum range of around 5,000 kilometers. The lethal missile can carry up to 10 Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicles (MIRVs). However, MIRV capabilities have yet to be fully tested. The missile is solid-fueled. When launched, the missile weighs 49,000–55,000 kg and measures 17.5–20 m in length and 2.2–2.2 m in width. The missile can be readily mobilized around the nation because it is transported by a road-mobile truck.

2. Prithvi III
Surface-to-surface missiles of the Prithvi III class have two stages. The first stage’s thrust motor has a force of 16 metric tonnes and is solid-fueled (157 kN). The liquid is used to propel the second stage. The missile can travel 350 kilometers with a 1,000 kg payload, 600 kilometers with a 500 kg warhead, and 750 kilometers with a 250 kg warhead.

3. Sagarika
Sagarika is an Indian ballistic missile with a range of 750 kilometers (SLBM). It launches from its launch platform and ascends to the water’s surface using a gas rocket.

4. Prithvi Air Defence (PAD) / Pradyumna Ballistic Missile Interceptor
An anti-ballistic missile called the Prithvi Air Defence (PAD) is made to intercept approaching ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere. The PAD is a two-stage, Prithvi-based missile with a peak intercept altitude of 80 kilometers.

5. Nirbhay
The nation’s first indigenously produced cruise missile is called Nirbhay. The missile can carry nuclear and conventional warheads and may be launched from several platforms. It is now being used sparingly along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid the stalemate with China.

6. Prahaar
The DRDO created this tactical ballistic missile to take the place of the Prithvi-I. Prahaar is a battlefield support tactical weapon system intended to be affordable, quick to react, all-weather, all-terrain, and high-precision. The road-mobile missile can travel 150 km and weighs 1,280 kg at launch. The missile can hit enemy command and control centers, bunkers, and armored formations.

7. BrahMos
Through a joint firm called BrahMos Aerospace, DRDO and NPO Mashinostroyeniya (Russia) jointly developed this medium-ranged ramjet supersonic cruise missile. It may be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or land and is the fastest cruise missile globally. A single warhead, short-range, ramjet-powered, supersonic anti-ship/land-attack cruise missile, the BrahMos may be launched from ships and land.

8. Dhanush
A short-range, ship-based ballistic missile with a liquid propellant base is called the Dhanush Missile. The Dhanush missile used by India has a naval variant. The Dhanush Missile is a short-range, ship-based ballistic missile that likely uses liquid fuel as its primary propulsion. The Dhanush missile from India is in the naval variant.

9. Exocet
A short-range anti-ship cruise missile made in France is called the EXOCET. Exocet models come at various stages of modernity and with different launch platforms.

10. AGNI-I
The Agni-1 is a solid-propellant, short-range ballistic missile that can be moved by road or rail. It bridges the gap between the Indian Prithvi Missile and the AGNI-2 short- and medium-range missile.
