There were only a few ANC, or active noise-canceling true wireless earbuds, available a few years ago. That has changed as the popularity of technology has grown. Nowadays, most headphones and earbuds have noise-cancelling capabilities. The quality of noise cancellation varies from brand to brand and model to model, but the best noise-canceling earbuds for you are those that fit your budget and listening expectations, and we’ve compiled a list that will not disappoint.
1. Sony WF-1000XM4
There is no such thing as a perfect earbud, and not every individual will like the fit or be capable of buying the Sony WF-1000XM4 buds. Such earbuds, on the other hand, check all the packaging if you want wonderful, noise-canceling earbuds with sturdy voice-calling functionality and long battery life. For a more tight fit, this best wireless earbud model includes noise-cancelling microphones and noise exclusion earbud tips.
2. Earfun Air Pro SV
The Earfun Air Pro SV has several advantages. First and foremost, they sound astonishingly good for a pair of earbuds in this price range. They have a big, open sound with well-defined bass and excellent clarity. They’re also lightweight and comfortable to wear, have effective (though not particularly powerful) noise cancellation, and have a fairly natural-sounding transparency mode that allows ambient sound in if you need to hear the outside world around you for safety reasons.
3. Beats Fit Pro
Though not theoretically AirPods, the Beats Fit Pro ($200) is constructed on the same digital platform as the AirPods Pro (yes, Apple owns Beats). Unlike Beat’s previous and less expensive Studio Buds, the Beats Fit Pro includes Apple’s H1 chip and the majority of the AirPods Pro’s features, such as active noise cancellation, spatial audio, and Adaptive EQ.
4. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro provides improved noise cancellation as well as very good sound and voice-calling performance, as well as support for high-resolution wireless audio streaming if you own a Galaxy device with the appropriate setup. However, their most significant upgrade may be their new design and smaller size, which allow them to fit more ears.
5. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3
Featuring outstanding sound, enhanced noise cancellation, and voice-calling performance, and a smaller, more refined design with stabilizing fins (to keep the earbuds in your ears more securely). They’re also among the best true-wireless earbuds on the market, competing with the Sony WF-1000XM4.
6. EarFun Air Pro 2
For the price, the EarFun Air Pro 2 earbuds have good active noise cancellation and a good sound. They’re well-balanced, with good clarity and strong bass performance. Some EarFun buds have had too much treble push, also known as “presence boost” but these generally avoid it. They sound significantly louder than the original Air Pro model.
7. Sony LinkBuds S
The LinkBuds S, as opposed to the “open” LinkBuds, are traditional noise isolating earbuds with tips that you insert into your ears. They’re smaller and lighter than Sony’s flagship WF-1000M4, and they’re powered by Sony’s V1 processor. While their sound and noise cancellation don’t quite match that of the WF-1000XM4, they’re close and less expensive.
8. JBL Live Pro 2
JBL has launched some good true-wireless earbuds over the years, but none that caught my attention. That has finally changed with the release of the Samsung-owned brand’s new Live Pro 2 and Live Free 2 buds. Both sets of buds – the Live Pro 2 has stems, while the Live Free 2 has a painkiller design – offer a comfortable fit and strong noise cancellation.
9. AirPods Pro
Even though the Apple AirPods Pro has been out for a while, they are still a great pair of truly wireless earphones, and the AirPods Pro 2 is expected in 2022. This is due in large part to their award-winning design and fit, excellent sound, effective noise non-renewal, and geographic audio, a simulated mode for watching movies and TV shows.
10. JBL Live Free 2
JBL, which is owned by Samsung, has released a pair of earbuds that are surprisingly good, the Live Pro 2 and Live Free 2. Both feature 11mm drivers, six microphones, oval tubes, and oval silicon tips. They also have a comfortable fit, strong noise cancellation, very good sound quality and voice-calling performance, and a robust feature set that includes multipoint Bluetooth pairing, an IPX5 splash-proof rating, and wireless charging.
