The much-awaited Mobile World Congress event will kick off on February 26 until February 29 in Barcelona, Spain. Many smartphone makers will showcase their latest innovations, including smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. Many tech brands hold their media events on February 25 to launch their latest devices, which will be displayed starting tomorrow. Aside from showcasing smartphones, a host of AI solutions, AR/VR devices, and more is expected at the MWC 2024.

MediaTek’s T300 5G RedCap Platform
MediaTek announced a new chip called the T300 5G RedCap platform at the MWC 2024. The chip is used to extend the battery life of wearable devices and IoT, and it offers 70% lower power consumption in 5G data communication and 78% lower power consumption in VoNR.
Motorola’s Collaboration With Corning
Motorola confirmed that the entire Moto smartphones from the 2nd half of 2024 will feature Corning Gorilla Glass. The tech company extended its range of smartphones from budget phones to high-end devices. Based on the price, Motorola will use a different class of Gorilla Glass. During the briefing, Motorola showcased samples of the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Gorilla Glass 5. This enhancement will result better display protection, specifically for budget smartphones.
Unveiling Samsung Galaxy Ring
Samsung confirmed the unveiling of the Galaxy Ring at the MWC 2024. The Galaxy Ring was first hinted back in January during the launch of the Galaxy S24 series. During the MWC 2024, Samsung officially showcased its latest wearable, which has tracking features, including sleep monitoring and heart rate.
Avenir Telecom’s Latest Smartphone With A Huge Battery Life
The latest Android smartphone from Avenir Telecom was also announced at the MWC2024. This battery champ has a massive 28,000mAh with 33W fast charging support. It also made the Energizer Hard Case P28K one of the heaviest and thickest smartphones. A single charge of this smartphone can offer 122 hours of talk time and can last up to 92 days of standby time, allowing users to go without charging their device for a few months. This will be available for purchase in October in select markets.
Unveiling Of Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display laptop
Lenovo is back at MWC 2024 and showcases the Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent display laptop, the world’s first laptop with a transparent display. This laptop has a 17.3-inch transparent screen that you can peer through, offering 55% transparency and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Lenovo uses a MicroLED Panel instead of OLED and has 720p resolution. Another unique feature of this laptop is the futuristic-looking keyboard with stylus support.
Other brands and tech giants such as Xiaomi, Honor, OnePlus, HMD Global, Realme, and more will also showcase their latest flagships at the Mobile World Congress 2024 from February 26 to February 29.
