The specs of Linux are very high compared to that of Linux. 'Newer the version, higher the specifications' is the case with Windows. But the specifications of Linux Distros are almost same all the time. Why? What's special is there in Linux Kernal which makes it easy to operate in Low Specs PCs?

After upgrading my tablet to Android Lollipop 5.0.2, I have tried out the ShareIt app and it completely refuses to work. I understand the app is supposed to work by creating a wireless connection that members connect to and make it possible to share files. Are there any settings that must be changed in Lollipop since it was working well on KitKat? I believe it is not a problem with my connection, if it is please advise me. If you have solved a similar problem, guide me through the process.

Hey, I am new to Linux and I want to optimize my HDD to have a balanced performance. I mean, it should be something like Scheduler /hdparm/free-fall-sensor/acpi_call/ e.tc. I also need to use TLP for it so that I can tweak settings like the Runtime power management among others. Can anyone explain to me the balanced settings for the settings that I have mentioned here?

There are only a few versions of Windows but there are around 100 distros of Linux. Goto distrowatch.com. Why are these developers making only the distros which don't support anything of Windows. If same thing goes on then Windows will win the battle easily. I'm really confused. Will we get a distro this year which will be a great trouble for Windows.
