Is it possible to scan computer through LAN without formatting it. And how safe will be the Documents in the said computer to be scanned?

I have here a Lenovo laptop and its OS is Windows 7. Now I don't have any antivirus since my last reformat because it is quite expensive and I still get lots of viruses in Windows. Anyways, I have had downloaded a McAfee free antivirus, and just let it work on my laptop until this day that it disable detection of USBs! I don't have any idea how did it happened. Was this because of some other reasons? or is it because of McAfee setting disable USB? Thanks!

I need help with my ESET NOD32 antivirus. When I’m about to update my antivirus, it’s asking for a username and password which I’m not sure where to get from. I didn't sign up for anything and don’t know why it’s asking for a username and password. If anyone had experienced the same problem, please help me. Also, If anyone knows how to fix the other issues such as performance and slow browsing issues for ESET NOD32 all versions, then please share your expertise. I’m about to download rising internet security 2011, and I’m wondering if you have tried using this. Most of the anti-virus I’ve used before didn’t have the capacity to put all kinds of viruses to be quarantined or deleted. They only get to find most common viruses. Hi Friends, I am using Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit [Version 6.8] in my Windows XP, It’s a perfect security software with a set of tools that scans and removes malware and gives complete control over the system. Recently I brought a Mac system with Mac OSX and would like to have Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit in that, but it seems to be not supported. Is there any way, so that I can use it in my Mac OSX, If there is any Mac version of Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit, please guide me to find that or suggest me a better alternative Antivirus Toolkit for my Mac OSX.
