Anti-Virus
Installation of Mail and Web Protection wouldn’t follow through on my system that runs a PGP Desktop with 9.x and 10.x.
The error message during the installation process of Avira AntiVir Premium indicates that it is caused by the failed installation of LSP.

I had no problems deactivating the MailGuard in Avira but when I reactivate, it gives me an error “Avira Premium Security Suite MailGuard could not be started.” Did I make a mistake when I deactivated it?
I really want to reactivate it. Please tell me what went wrong and how I can turn it back on.
Thank you!

I used the activation code from my new Avira Internet Security 2012 to upgrade my Premium 2012. Now that I have Internet Security 2012, I tried to run my firewall. However, the firewall isn’t working and grayed out on my system bar.
Removing everything and reinstallation while in Safe Mode doesn’t resolve this issue. I also have a Visual Studio debugger which automatically loads all errors which you can see on the picture I pasted.
It’s the only firewall I have with my Windows XP SP3. I never knew Avira has errors like this. I’m absolutely clueless with this one.

I used CNET to get my free copy of Avira. My problem is the installation wouldn’t start because of the error message on the attached photo. I already checked system requirements and my OS, Windows XP SP2 32-bit, is compatible with Avira. It worked before on this PC so why am I having this problem now?

Guys, the installation of mine Avira Free Antivirus came to an abrupt end because the installation of the LSP failed. AntiVir MailGuard and AntiVir WebGuard therefore cannot be installed.
We recommend that you repair the LSP stack and then reinstall AntiVir MailGuard and AntiVir WebGuard via the user-defined installation. According to an error dialog.
I don’t know what LSP stands for but isn’t that already a part of Avira’s installation file? If it isn’t, where can I get a copy?

I can’t remove my Avira Free Antivirus because in the middle of the process, I get an Avira Setup error:

Another instance of this setup is already running. Please wait for the other instance to
finish and then try again.

Hi,
I Have taken numerous install and uninstall process to have the latest Avira 2012 on my PC.
I removed my Spywareblaster from Javacool since its incompatibility stops me from upgrading my current version of Avira.
I did what was recommended but received an application error “The instruction at 0x012b1a1a referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.”
