I have been using McAfee Antivirus for my Windows 7 in my laptop for a year now and I haven’t experienced any slowness until this week. I do update my antivirus when needed and regularly do system scanning and have not found anything suspicious. However, these past few days my laptop runs normally fast at first and after few minutes it just freezes and my internet browser stops responding.

Do I need to change my antivirus software? I heard about Kaspersky being one of the best, will it be better to switch to it?

We used Operating System in order to use a computer. How about that Antivirus that we normally use? Is there a program or software that can check the capabilities and the performance of an antivirus?

Antivirus are sometimes free but has limited features. Most of it, require us to buy in order to avail its maximum performance. So how can we know if the one's we are buying is worth our money? How can we know if it is really capable of killing or can quarantine a virus? Do you have suggestions? Please send me some.

i have installed AVG Anti-virus Free Edition and it worked correctly. Now i uninstalled it, because i buy a new version of AVG.

I want to install my new version of anti-virus but it doesn't work! i have an error message : "another version of this product is already installed…"

But i had uninstalled the old version?

What is the best free anti-virus and what is the difference on the anti-virus that I am using now which is Norton? Please differentiate.

I need to know if there's better than Norton Anti-virus. Make sure it's free an reliable.

I am using Sophos Antivirus when one time it started an auto update. However, the auto update failed and I got this error message, see screenshot below. I have searched the web and saw forum regarding possible solutions to the problem. However, I didn’t know which one was applicable to my problem. I hope someone from this site can help me.

I have installed AVG antivirus software. Now I want to uninstall the antivirus software.

But I am not able to uninstall the software.

If I reinstall the Windows XP then the same problem occur.

In both cases give the following message: You have no privilege to execute the task.

In my PC only one user: administrator.

This message appears, when I try to delete it.

File contains Trojan program and cannot be Disinfected. What do I do?

Can i uninstall webrep in avast or this is an important tool?

I cant register my new avast 6.
