Anti-Virus
I was installing Panda Internet Security on Windows XP, when I got an Error,
The installation of Panda Internet security 2008 has been canceled, it was running in the wrong compatibility mode
Installation canceled
The installation of Panda Internet Security 2008 has been cancelled
The installation was running the wrong compatibility mode. This could prevent Panda Internet Security 2008 from operating correctly. The installation has therefore been cancelled.
How can i resolve this?

Remember my netbook eMachine em350?
Well, a few weeks ago I was using my netbook without problems. But then one day, as I turned my netbook on, a message was displayed, "error communicating with kernel".
The message came from my anti-virus, ESET NOD 32.
From then on, Every time I turn my netbook on, all I can see is the wallpaper, NO Icons, NO Taskbar, NO Start menu, there is nothing. I tried Ctr-Alt-Del, the task Manager shows up, and through that I can open anything.
Please help me.
The last resort would be reformatting my netbook.
I still want to revive everything in any way.
Thanks.

I have an external hard disk. I used to take my system backup into the external hard disk. For some reasons, my friend took the hard disk and after returning I scanned the hard disk with Microsoft essential security antivirus.
I found that the hard disk is virus corrupted. I quarantine the virus and found that all data was gone but in the properties of the hard disk it shows the exact size of the hard disk.
Now I wonder where the data has gone.
Do I need to run some data recovery software in the hard disk.
Please assist me in this case.
Thanks in advance.

When I start to install any new program there shows a notification message from Avast regarding sand box. I want to know what is the sand box? Do I continue to install softwares in this situation? or can I drop?
AVAST! SUTOSANDBOX
For your safety, avast! has automatically placed the following application inside the sandbox.

I just had to get rid of a virus and even though multiple virus check software says that I am clean. But I am still having trouble in that I am unable to connect to internet through dialup any more. I am receiving the error message that wsock32.dll was missing.
I have tried my XP disk and was expecting that I will remove these files from there but have no idea how to do it. Anyone here knows how to do it?

Hi! Friends,
I used Avast Free Antivirus and updated it regularly.
But, I have a problem with my pen drive. Whenever I used the pen drive its showing a folder namely "RECYCLER" and Avast shows an error message "MALWARE BLOCKED". Though I delete that folder, next time it will automatically show the same. And I also formatted the entire pen driver in Command Prompt. But the same problem repeated again and again.
What is the solution for this? May I know is it harmful to my system? How can I remove that folder completely from my pen drive? And is there any settings available in Avast to guard from that virus?
I have attached herewith a JPEG file to describe the problem in brief.

While scanning my laptop, the anti-virus detected a highly-rated virus. It is expected that all antivirus would quarantine that. What I did was I deleted it in the virus vault. So, my question is after what I've done where would the virus go? I mean is it like the files deleted on the recycle bin where you can still recover it?
