I was wondering,  "Can Macs get viruses?" Can someone answer?

Today I installed Mac operating system. I inserted a Mac operating system DVD and then started Installation. After some time missing files, error appears. Then I click at retry button but setup stops there ; then I skips some files. After some time I restart my computer and change the DVD but same error appears again. Please let me know its reason and solution.

I updated my Mac Operating system but when I complete updating, this error appears. I updated it almost within 2 hours but all was a waste of time. I again try but same error appears.

Please any one tell me why this error appears. Why I can’t get notice of successful updation.

Which is better, Windows operating system or Macintosh? I have a Microsoft Windows computer system and this is my third computer purchased within 2 years. My previous computer was infected with virus and it also has a problem wherein it asked me to purchase something online, but when I click it, it just multiplies.

My friend told me that his Apple computer does not get virus and told me to purchase an Apple computer instead. I want to have more input on this. Is Apple really better than Windows?

A friend of mine shut down his office computers yesterday only to arrive this morning to discover that 3 out of 5 Apple desktop  computers refuse to boot. The sockets (power outlet) was also turned off, and no other person had access to the office.

We have checked the sockets and the cables, and they are ok but the computers refuse to boot.

Please can somebody please help as we are not professionals in this area.

I have MAC OS X 10.4.10 and am trying to print a format. I did have the printer installed on this PC and it was running fine. I had to remove it for some reason, and now when I try to add the printer again, I keep getting the following error message.

An error occurred while trying to add the Selected printer Error: =9672

Can anyone help me with this error message? Is this something which has to do with my OS (tiger version)?

I have Adobe AIR installed on one of my MAC OS X 10.4. I have been using it successfully. I changed a few settings on my Adobe AIR application recently.

Now when I try to start my application, it comes up with an error message that it cannot load the latest configurations.

‘Launching New_configuration’ has encountered a problem.

Accept timed out

I am not sure how I can revert back to the regular default settings.

Can anyone help me with this error message?

i borrowed my friend's computer for a day, then suddenly when I connected the computer,  I got this message (ID=04).

what is this message about? Can it be fixed ?

I have brought a new iMac (2007 iMac) a week ago. It works normally. 

When my brother was working, it fell down.

Then it auto restarted.

However it not working, all I'm getting is a completely white screen.

There is no Home page.
