Apple Networking
Hello,
I've encountered this error when I try to setup remote connection of my daylight server on a separate location I already configured router and setup port forwarding by the way this is on Mac Machines. The ISP already provided me with a static IP on both sites but still connection failed. Any help please. I capture the error screen shots that will be easier for you to understand this error.
My objective here is to make the two mac machine see each other as like the vpn (virtual private network).
Error:
Database search failed because the server
could not be reached.

Hello!
I have a 10.6 server assembled from nothing. The software is up to date. The forward and reverse records on look up are corrected on the DNS set up. I upgraded it to ODM and had local kerberos realm killed.
I bound it to AD and joined the AD-based Kerberos realm, to avoid being ticketed. I had an OD group created, with an OD and AD user complete with a share point over AFP, SMB and NFS with read and write access.

My Windows computer has a larger hard drive than my Mac and storage is now a problem, especially my music and video files. I want to hook up my Mac to my Windows PC, so that I can transfer files quickly without hassles.

I have 2 computers at home, a Windows Vista and a Mac Leopard. I just have a single-user modem that I got from my Internet Service Provider, so it only allows me to connect one of my computers at a time. When I connect my Windows Vista to the modem, the Ethernet light turns on and I can connect to the Internet with no problems at all but when I connect my Mac Leopard, the Ethernet light won't turn on at all.
Thank you in advance!

I have 2 types of computers. Macintosh and a PC, so I cannot exchange the information between Macintosh and PC but it is very important to me.
Is it possible to create a network between each other. If possible then I expect to get the solution.

Hi,
Recently we have shifted our office. We are 200+ users including Mac+PC.
We are using airport extreme base station, for our WiFi network. It worked very well in our previous office. Our previous office was a three storey building and the new office is on the first floor with 5000 Sqft. The new office is quite open and big.
We installed our Airport Extreme Base Station in the middle of our office, but the signal strength is very low and all the 200+ computers are unable to connect with the WiFi.
I'm not sure, but in the new office there is some obstacles room wise, which might be the reason why we are not getting a signal.

Hello Everyone,
I have a business Centre and my all IT base platform is on Mac. I’ve a Mac OSX Server. It’s a standard 2008 R2 domain. I’ve two partitions, one is server and another is Public. I want to share public with all my colleagues. I popped onto server admin Volume and created a share and attempted to share it via auto mounting, ensuring that I had moved the group students into the permissions, but it won't work. I've tried in different ways but failed to fix it up. Any solution please let me know.
Regards,
Arifuzzaman
