CPU Processors

CPU Processors

The many pins on a CPU carry a lot of different electrical signals. For reference purposes, each of these pins has a short designation like GND, RST or A20. Which signal is transferred through the VSS pin? Please explain this.

I have to run large programs on my computer which sometime my computer is unable to do.

So i thought to change my processors and if needed some other hardware too.

I want to know what kind of processors should i use for running large programs which would keep my computer fairly cheap?

I recently bought a pre-built desktop computer with Intel Core i7 920 processor in it. It was from an online seller so I went to see the specs to make sure if I got all the specifications I paid for. Everything looks great until I noticed something I wasn't sure about in cpu-z. Why does it show "Genuine Intel(R) CPU 000 @ 2.67GHz (ES)"? Why is it a "000" and what does "ES"  mean?

A good friend of mine acquired an Intel core i7 920 engineering sample processor and asked me to try it out. I'm a little skeptical about it though. Is there any difference between a regular processor and an engineering sample one? I'm just worried it could damage my motherboard. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade my processor, but I'm quite confuse whether to go for Intel core i7 or will I go for Intel core i3; if there's really a big difference between the two processors.

I want to know how fast is Intel core i7 compared to Intel core i3 in percentage?

Hello !

I had this problem ever since I bought this laptop. My CPU temperature stays way above 90 degrees Celsius. It's as if I had another radiator in the room. It's actually impossible to keep it in my lap, what literally makes him not a laptop (laptop – sitting on top of one's lap). However, this is the least of the problems.

My performance is drastically reduced as soon as it hits up (10 to 15 minutes from booting it up). I have searched so many websites for ways to reduce the temperature, but I haven't found anything to help my situation.

Hi Experts,

I am using AMD Athlon x64 Processor in my system. I want you to give me some suggestions about it's maintenance.

Should I be using an extra heat sink to keep it save from getting over-heated.?

Please share your opinions.

Thank you.

I received my very own Flip camcorder and installed FlipShare. Everything was working fine, and I was able to save videos and shared them online.

However, with the recent FlipShare software upgrade, I encountered “Your System does not meet the minimum system requirements for FlipShare”.

Error Message, only to find out my clock speed was not enough to run the latest software. Which is better, to upgrade the clock speed of my pc or to buy a new one? I have the following computer specs:

DESKTOP OS: XP SP3
Processor: Pentium 4 CPU 2.4 GHz
RAM: 1.25 GB
