Database
Hello,
I have a server with Windows 2003 Server installed and inside the server, I installed several applications and one of them is MS SQL Server. I'm using MS SQL Server for a custom desktop application that I developed and for some time everything works great with no problem whatsoever.
Lately, I'm considering changing the database from MS SQL Server to MySQL so, I can access the database from around the world. Unfortunately, it means I need to adjust some things to make the desktop application work fine using MySQL like when it used MS SQL Server for the database. Using the same desktop application I can access and manipulate databases inside MySQL without having to develop new applications for it.

Hello!
The following databases are running on my computer:
Informix DNS 10.00FC8 with Linux RedHat
MS SQL Version 2008 Express running on my Windows 2003 R2 SP2
And lastly, I am running IBM client Version 3.5 TC4 when connecting with Windows Server to Linux. I configured the Informix and linked the server to SQL with the help of OLE Database for ODBC. It was working but it failed on completion. I need to use the OPENQUERY in SQL to make it work flawlessly. I want to know if it is just fine to and if OPENQUERY is working better than selecting it in the simplest way.

I've made a little progress with packaging and making a runtime file for my Access 2007 app using Microsoft info pages. But for some reason, I'm getting a blank application when I test-package it and then tried and run the file.

Can any one help me altering an Oracle table? I have made a table and it has some data in it. But unfortunately, I forgot to make any primary key on that table. Is it possible to make a primary key now? I don't want to delete my previous data, that is already in the table.

Our company uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database management system. We have several databases hosted on it. Everyday we create a scheduled backup using the Microsoft SQL Server Agent. The backup runs at 7 pm every night. Each backup runs up to around several gigabytes. We need to retain only 2 days backup on the production server and overwrite the older files. How do I go about doing a rolling backup for databases in Microsoft SQL Server?
