Hi there,
I have this Dell i7 desktop with USB port rated 2.0, lately I have seen USB rating of 3.0 in the market, how can I upgrade my machine to USB 3.0, and what is the difference between the two versions of USB?

Hi,
I have a Dell computer that is 1 year old. I have a collection of CDs with my favorite music and I used to play them a lot. But now the DVD ROM is not opening and I can’t use it. Sometimes it opens after a struggle and I can’t eject the CD when done. Could someone provide a quick fix if available and also recommendations of other DVD ROMs for replacement?

Hello,
I am just wondering how to troubleshoot a power button for a desktop computer. I have a new dell computer and when I turn it on it doesn’t respond. The button is sometimes very hard to be pressed. I have to try several times before it starts up. Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of this problem?

Hello there,
My computer is running Windows 8 OS Preview. Then I recently installed Avast Internet Security 9 but I also removed it with Avast Uninstall Utility after the installation because its icon does not appear on my Taskbar. Then I installed it again but this time, it didn't work, even the Self-Mode Protection. I restarted my computer and disable my Malwarebytes thinking that it is having conflicts on my Avast installation.

Hello experts,
My computer is an ASUS Q87-E/CSM Intel Q5 with 3.4GHz 750 EGVA PSU. I'm running Windows 8 on my 1TB HDD and 16GB RAM. The problem is when I try to open tabs in Mozilla Firefox or even in Internet Explorer or when I attempted to open a new program, my computer will lag. And its getting worst on opening more tabs.

Hello experts,
My new motherboard doesn't support Floppy Drives. I've searched for something like a PCI card that provides COM and LPT ports. I found one and it actually works just fine. What I want to know is if there is a PCI card that has floppy disk controller with standard port that will utilize a standard floppy data cable mount floppy disk drive? I am looking for something like this one. If it exist, where can I purchase it?

I am having some issues when starting my computer. The PSU fan becomes very noisy. This happens randomly and when it happens, I will just unplug my PSU and then plug it back again. I don't have any issues on my PSU before. Also, there are times that when I turned my PC on, I will need to press the power button twice before it actually turn on. Is this an issue with my PSU or do I need to worry more on possible issues?

When using my computer, I am hearing a very annoying noise from my CPU. It seems like it is coming from my motherboard. Some times there is no noise and then it will randomly beeps again. I noticed that this issue more likely occurs when playing games and doing multiple tasks. The beep will go louder as the tasks are getting heavier. I haven't tried to read the temperature yet. But I tried to dedicate the programs to specific cores but it doesn't work. Please help me in resolving this random beep interval that I am encountering.
My computer is running an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz, Gigabyte GA – 78LMT – S2P, 4GB G-Skill DDR3 RAM, XFX ATI Radeon HD 4550 and Western Digital 500GB.
