My friend has been constantly putting his computer on a standby and hibernate mode. For a very very long time he has been doing this without any problems, but of late the computer has been very unstable and  its speed has also reduced. He has been handling it with a lot of care and he is linking the slow speed and the instability of the computer to the fact that he has been hibernating it most of the time. The most disturbing question is whether placing a computer system on a standby and hibernation modes can render a computer unstable and maybe crash it?

I am trying to find a battery to be sued with the inverter in order to get the desktop PC on even during power outages and also during instances in remote places where power is not at all available. I am searching for batteries. The main specs are 12 V and current. To guess the current capacity of the Battery I have to find out how much does a typical Desktop PC consumes. Is there is any benchmark kind of data available? How to measure it at least if possible? I need the battery to support at least 8 hours of continuous desktop usage. This mouse doesn't work with my desktop. Sometimes it does. Before the mouse pointer disappear, the mouse pointer will flicker and will have hyperactive movements. What could be the reason behind this phenomena? Is it the mouse or just the settings in my computer? Please give me ways to resolve it by adjusting the settings, second provide me solutions by installing software that can help me resolve this and last, provide alternative ways that will support the solutions above if all fails.
