Disaster Recovery
After reformatting my hard disk I forgot to back up some important files from my disk. Is it possible to retrieve the data that has been deleted after the reformat. Is there any solution for this kind of a problem?

Hi all,
I have an HP desktop with Windows 2008 that I have been using over the past 2 years. Due to business, I had to be away for a couple of weeks last month. When I got back, I used my computer again and it started making weird noises, sounded like a ticking clock. It takes quite some time to access files and I think some files are even missing. And just a few days ago, I tried to use my computer again but it wouldn't start at all. It just goes to the blue initializing part and stays there forever. I have some important files in that computer. I need to get them but how do I do that when it doesn't even turn on properly?

There are some shortcuts created in some files in this USB but they are not detected as virus, can they be recovered?
And why are they not detected as virus when affected by a virus?

I am using Windows 7 operating system for my laptop. Time to time my laptop used to stop working with that. Last time when I formatted my system, I lost my all personal data and my work data too. And when I asked for a solution I got to know that there are many recovery software available.
Then I tried many software, but of no use. I am totally unable to recover my drive's data and I lost almost everything. When I tried the recovery software, it showed some of my files and more than thousands of files which were related to my Internet history. I am afraid that I will never get my data back.

In our last research study we were required to be on the sea. Unfortunately my portable hard drive fell into the water and got soaked literally and badly wet. How can I recover my files stored in the said drive. Will I still be able to use my drive later?
What should I do?

I finished my paper last night and saved it in my USB flash drive so that I could bring it to school.
Upon opening my document, it came to me as a surprise that my work could not be opened and shows a selection of encoding of some sort.
How do I recover my work?

It was my first time using a rocket dock and I didn't know that the folders placed inside it, were just a shortcut of the folders placed on my desktop. I deleted all my desktop folders not knowing that it will also be deleted inside the rocket dock. What's worse is that I deleted it permanently, using tune-up utilities.
I tried downloading different recovery software, hoping to recover all my files but none of them could solve any of it. Is it still possible to recover it?

I usually connect my phone via USB cord and automatically get it without ejecting properly. Recently when I connected my phone, the computer detected that there were problems with my file and it needs to be scanned and fixed. So I did, but after doing this, some of the files in my phone were gone.
