Every time I try to open my computer, the process goes smoothly and correct. But when I spend it with a couple of minutes my monitor suddenly turn to black and switches off.  I had been through with the technical troubleshooting like: check the power supply, video card, connections, etc.  But still, the process is still the same.  What is the possible reason why my monitor turns off unexpected? 

Can someone answer what is "Dead Pixels" in display unit? Is it harmful?

Hi have this problem in my newly installed video card from NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS. 

Everything is in default but every time i start my PC, there's white horizontal lines occurs on start up and when i open random explorers. 

I'm worried about what can it be done to my monitor. 

I checked the plug on the motherboard, its tight.

How can i fix this?

I've owned a HP 540 laptop and when I switch it on it doesn't show any display. I've tried to connect a display monitor to the VGA port of the laptop to check its display if it is okay. 

I've done on pressing the f5 together with fn button to switch to external monitor for display. Still there is nothing on my screen except for the wallpaper which I setup before. 

Whenever I turn on my computer, Windows started normally, but in the monitor display windows with huge color effect. 

I can't even see the start menu bar or anything else in the desktop screen. 

What should I do to this problem?

I need a little help from you. I have a Compaq laptop. I recently bought a Sony Bravia LCD. I tried to connect it via a VGA to VGA connector but nothing happens. Usually a new box pops to configure the new display. I tried again with a VGA to HDMI connector but the result was same.

Well there should be no problem with the TV as my PlayStation connects smoothly. I tried everything with NVIDIA control panel but it seems that the laptop is unable to find the new display. Please provide me a solution.

I have a computer with 512 MB RAM.I was not using my computer for two weeks. So I opened my CPU and cleaned it up. When I turned on my computer my monitor was not working.
