I am using a CRT Samsung monitor now. But I want to buy a new LCD monitor. But some friends of mine are telling me that CRT is better than LCD.

But I want to learn from an expert about all pros and cons of CRT and LCD monitor. Which will be best for me to use?

Two weeks ago, i bought a new HP Touchsmart 300z series desktop, installed it and everything was working alright. I started experiencing problems with the touch screen after i installed a new program. What happens is that, the screen loses its touch sensing ability and would not return unless i reboot the computer.

Another complication is that, the screen loses its touch ability when left idle for than 1 hour. The screen freezes and would not respond to anything unless i switch it off and power it up again.

This is quite strange. I am not so much familiar with PC touch screens; they are delicate and require careful handling. I have tried doing the following;

My old monitor was busted already. When my uncle heard about this, he gave me his old but still working Dell flat panel monitor as he was able to buy a new one already.

When I first connected it in my HP 6750 CPU, it worked fine. The next day I used it, I noticed a discoloration first, before it displayed disrupted image until it became black and white lines. These lines are moving from top to bottom endlessly. I checked the physical connections of the cables, and all are fine.

I think there is some common problems with Fujistu TFT-LCD displays. I had a friend with a model that always displayed GREENNISH videos and picture.

I bought a new 19’’ inch Fujitsu-Siemens ScaleoView L22W-7SD TFT-LCD monitor.

It works fine but the problem is that some hues are covered with flickering vertical green stripes.

Watching movies or viewing pictures in this display is quite annoying; there is a lot of green shade on the graphics.

I have tried to change the resolutions and contrasts in the monitor settings.  

I also changed the video setting hoping to get a better graphic display which i never achieved.

I have a Dell LCD monitor of 17" flat screen. After starting windows it only shows a white blank screen. I only see the mouse cursor. It works well when i use safe mode. But now my monitor does not show display.

When I start up my PC it is presented a dark monitor to me. But i hear the sound while the program is running. Now I need to know that it is a problem in the Hardware or Software.

My operating System is Windows XP. Motherboard:Intel. I am thinking going to a mechanics to solve this problem. If anyone give me any suggestion, please!

I am a desktop computer user. I use a Samsung monitor as my display device. I am not satisfied with my color settings on my monitor. The monitor seems to me as dull. Its color combination is not as bright as per my consideration. It is not only dull but also its color is not such good. I need any sort of software to solve this problem with bright color and brighter display. Can anyone suggest me such software? 

Please suggest me if you verify it.

I am confused about what could be the problem with it? I first thought it was the VGA cable that was bad but I have tried using different VGA cables but it has not solved the problem. At first the monitor used to work properly but one time there was a power blackout and the monitor switched off abruptly but when the power came back I switched on the computer. Only to find the display colour of the TFT screen had changed to reddish. I tried adjusting the display colours using the TFT buttons provided but it didn’t solve the problem. What could be the problem? Someone with an idea?
