I have a new Acer aspire1414 laptop. It gave me a ‘Read Error’ and aborted Test when I attempted an HD Tune test. I tried rebooting and defragmenting. But I still get this error. It doesn’t get a crash and it can play games at a good speed. Additionally, the BIOS of this system have been maintained at the default optimal level. The HD Tune error check that I ran also appears to be fine. But when I try to run HD Tune Benchmark, I get this ‘Read Error’. Is this indicative of my hard disk health? Is there anything that I should be concerned of? Somebody please help me. Thanks a lot for your valuable help. Regards

I have a Seagate GoFlex 2TB external  Hard drive which was working well with my Dell Inspiron Desktop, the external drive Icon started disappearing from windows explorer and I decided to format it, I have Easeus partition master and when I completed formatting, I partitioned the drive but windows explorer can no longer find the drive, What could be the problem? How do I get this external drive working?

I have an HP Pavilion desktop which is running on Windows 8.1, yesterday I tried connecting a Samsung SE-208AB DVD+R /W and my computer went off immediately, I restarted the computer and tried connecting the drive again, the LED on the drive lit, it did spin and the DVD icon showed on windows explorer, I tried to play a DVD from the Rom and my computer went off again, What could be the problem? How do I solve this?

I have a Dell STudio XPS running on Windows 8.1 which has a Bluetooth receiver plugged in a Bose sound dock, pairing with my Dell Latitude E6400 is okay but media playing is giving me a problem, I want to be able to play media files from both computers via the desktop, but synchronization on VLC and Windows media player is not working, Both applications can browse folders but cannot play the files, What could be the problem here? How do I get the media files playing?

I have an HP Pavilion desktop computer which I noted some noise coming out of the computer, I opened the casing and noted that the PSU had this "burn't" plastic smell, I have looked for any soot marks but there is none, Today I noted the smell is getting stronger but the computer is working well, what could be making the PSU smell like that, How can I make this smell go away? I just feel uncomfortable with this smell.

I was playing on my HP Omini 220 desktop when I smelled burnt plastic, on investigation, I saw fumes  of smoke coming from my Power Supply Unit, I quickly unplugged my computer from the wall socket without switching it off, I opened the casing and saw a smoked fuse, I replaced the PSU with CORSAIR750 watts, the same model as the previous one, the motherboard LEDS are going on well but the computer won't boot, what could be the problem and how can I fix this?

Is it possible to share one hard disk to multiple users in a Promox VE? I have no idea how to go on about doing this, will an expert please guide me.thanks

When looking at my camera, the videos and images are still there. But I cannot get it anymore when I connect it on my computer. The images and video files are stored on my SanDisk 4GB SDHC. I'm not sure what happened but I was able to get my files before this on my Mac PC. I tried other cables and a memory card reader. But it won't recognize the card. What should I do? Can I recover my files?
