Hard Drives
I am seeking some advice and help. Whenever I try to link my external hard disk drive through the universal serial bus to my computer, operating on windows 7 64b ultimate edition, windows become sluggish while the mouse lags and as such it takes quite a long time to navigate the display and also when making clicks. Well, the hard disk works well on my laptop operating with windows XP. The fact is that the hard disk is not new. I bought it some time ago but fixed it together so that I could use it.

The hard disk drive of my recently assembled computer does not appear on the installation screen even though it does appear on the basic input output system.
The machine runs with windows 7 ultimate 64-bit package and I purchased this since I wanted to make optimum utilization of my random access memory. Some information I obtained about my hard disk drive which is a 2 terabyte Seagate Barracuda XT.
The information seemed to explain that the drivers are auto-fixed on the HDD though I can’t be sure about this.
By the way I only own a laptop currently and so I do not possess any computer which I could use to configure, divide or download tools to scan the drive. My MB’s make is Biostar T268A+ affixed with the right cords.

I have been looking for an online storage of my photos. This is for disaster recovery. Sharing and anything else is just an added bonus. This is HD crash, theft, house burning down kind of back-up. Would iCloud be a good choice for this? Right now I don't use any service as everything I have found had at least one major flaw I hated. I am using a PC so I don't have photo so organization and auto-syncing are my concerns here. Any thoughts?

Hi there!
My computer is running on Windows XP and just recently, I backed it up for the first time using Microsoft backup installed with the operating system.
The thing is when I restarted my computer, I got an error message saying that the NTLDR is missing, I tried to repair this by using the recovery disk in my computer but when I did, my computer recognizes my external hard drive as the C: drive.
I need to know how I could get my computer to recognize the internal hard drive as the C: drive, rather than the external one.
I already ran the diagnostics on the internal HDD and it seemed to be fine.
I hope you can tell me what’s going on and how I can fix it. Thank you.

I have a new Dell XPS 420 desktop PC. I want to transfer all my 10 years worth of files that include music, pictures and documents to my new Dell PC. The following files are located on my drive D. My question is, if it’s possible to just copy the whole drive rather than copy the files one by one? The drive C that contains the operating system is now useless since my new Dell has a dual drive bay, wherein one bay contains two drives and the other one is an open one. And also, I’m wondering how that drive will appear considering that my new computer is showing two drives?
